Why do some people always complain about threads in the general discussion section?

-__-. The thread was addressing people who complain about serious topics (racism, sexism, religion, etc) being discussed on NB. Saying things like "This is a cartoon website dont talk about that" or "Why would you discuss this on a Naruto website?"

Many older users are just fed up because of what such threads lead to- raging flame wars.

Lack of objectivity among members, biased or ignorant comments as well as trolls make it worse as they tend to bring out worst out of many users.

It is easier to ignore or forget and move away from a silly argument over animated characters. But these subjects, you mentioned, touch us on more personal level.
