How about Sasuke Punishment marriage to Choji till death (and maybe after like even if he's summoned by impure summoning and what not). now that would be cruel as if he makes any money at all that would be taken pronto... *sniggles*. :p
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now I don't think Sasuke is emotionless as he does have hate and a feel of revenge on his side. That does count as emotion. But its just a technicality. My guess is that the posters saying the contrary mean that as of late Sasuke pretty much stopped showing any other emotions (excluding maybe stupidity and being emo.- does that count?)

Writing in proper English is not a necessity here, its just that typing in those words correctly might help someone to understand what you are typing better, seeing as the web-site is not only for those whose main language is english, I know multiple people from India (my country) that read Naruto because its good but aren't really that well versed with English, so the half words that you write might confuse them.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Having said that my own views on the ACTUAL point of this thread.

I don't like Sasuke's character. period.

Reasons.

1. he's been an annoying prick, self-obsessed, stuck-up (on revenge and probably stupidity) and more or less being a complete dousche, a**hole, and d*ck all at once .- (he needs an award for this i guess).

2. He keeps saying that (as of late), that what he s doing is all in the memory of itachi. yet He's pretty much spitting on what Itachi told him NOT to do. Just because the 2 people of konoha are screw ups, doesn't really mean that all of citizens have to be killed. its kind of like the war in Iraq and Afghanisthan - (thankfuly the Americans I believe atleast are trying to avoid too many deaths of the afghan nationals that are not really terrorists), but anyhow you can see clearly that its been a failure anyway.

3. Sasuke is swayed to completely different sides with absolute ease. (though its pretty much only when the bad guy tries to give him ideas).
He hasn't really thought out much about WHY he's doing all this.
Kinda like mind-less zombies. (heck even the actually mind-less zombies that kabutomaru summoned are questioning and debating and most if not all would have just quit if they could -except maybe Deidara since he just wants to fight , okay fine you can claim that they aren't mind-less as of now).

4.Also Sasuke gave out on his chance of Sakura -( a female who was obviously willing to do ANYTHING that he wanted) Hence the claim that he's gay.
I wouldn't really call him gay though as he hasn't (yet?) proposed to Naruto
, and i got nthing agaisnt gays as i believe its their wish. (Also more women for us hehe, and also lesbos can be entertaining).

If you want more points as to why i Hate him, there's abviously more, such as -

4. his style of dressing sucks, I would have thought a shinobi would dress to try and protect as much as he can while having good mobility and flexibility (see the stye of the Jounins such as Kakashi/ Shikamaru).

5. He's into snakes which kinda sucks in my head. Atleast Oro was brainy and you could say he atleast looked like one, also Oro had something to do with white snakes, which isn't completely clear except for the parents part in the Manga (or could be Anime but I belive it was manga). Also oro was brainy and had a large base pf other stuff also even though most of it was still quite slimy)

6. Sasuke does seem to get HUGE POWERUPS for free, for example the Mangekyu Sharingan and the Eternal Mangekyu Sharingan (EMS) and all that comes with it. Naruto atleast has trained a (for most of his skills) and suffered the pain (and is still suffering ) for stuff such as the 9-Tails.

7. Sasuke does not seem to require Energy, hate is more or less enough for him to survive.

his line of thought is more r less stupid. (he formed the group)- and yet he doesn't really use it for Fighting, just the scouting parts. ou could say that they were roped in to find Itachi but my guess is He could have just used some of the stuff Oro taught him. (if Oro never thought of Teaching him that then he could have just asked to be taught those before trying to assassinate Oro).

There are many many MANY more such reasons why I don't like him.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

8. I call upon the MODS to close and then Delete this thread . (ALSO BURN IT UP AND THROW IT INTO SPACE IF YOU CAN) as the The thread starter doesn't really want to listen to any other Opiniions other than the ones that support his COMPLETELY.
This thread pretty much is a FLAME WAR THREAD. it was supposed to have been one to find the reason for it, but it mainly turned out to be just another avenue for the FLAME WARRIORS (That kinda sounds cool even though they - I guess including me, aren't, Don't claim you are, I don't give a sh*t). 9. All of this coz of the thread Starter's inability to accept or atleast Ignore most of the opinions of other people, .
10. So in the hopes of keeping this web-site clean from the pollution of retards such as the thread starter, close this thread and delete it. If not Delete this thread and create another one with a change of name seeing as the 11. Title is totally not apt as the thread has been called a discussion by black uchiha but it isn't atall a discussion seeing as black uchiha cannot take other people's opinions and just wants it to be one sided. prolly change it to something like - "If you hate Sasuke, then tell my why and I'll Bash you, If you like what i said , then Hugs and kisses". (I was told that the Mods cannot change the title of the threads- that can be done just by the site owner - I think he's named Versuvio)

WOW, didn't realize the length of this , also what is it with you people and saying having a chair and taking a chair, grading etc. haven't you guys (and gals maybe) had enough with school/ college?

1. just da kind of bs i asked not to have to go into....

2. u do know da itachi is da 1 who told him to hate in the first place...right?

3. sasuke is swayed by the power and the promise of revenge..."u can't have a rose bush without da thorns"

4. more of da bs

5. r u into shino, naruto, kakashi, da 5th, or jiraiya...all of witch r into animals they look nothing like

6. their are rules in place for da ms and da ems no amount of training will get u dem.

7. imo anger (hate) is a powerful emotion, so is love

8. i (like i said befor in earlier post) want to no peoples opinons...but i also want to give my own...if u r anyone else has a problem with dat r dis thread in general, den don't post or read it...its not for u...take it how u will

9. think about what u r saying, y would i ask for what u think and den ignor it???

10. "pollution of retards such as the thread starter" really...ok well u posted on it so dat makes u a retard as well...if its pollution den y put yourself in it???

11. discussion – an act or instance of discussing; consideration or examination by argument, comment, etc., esp. to explore solutions; informal debate. well u can read it for yourself ....but what i'm getting is ur wrong.

i gave u my retarded answers and opinons....and name calling does nothing to me...u no "sticks and stones"

Firstly let us define the word emotion.

e•mo•tion
[ih-moh-shuhn]
-noun

•An affective state of consciousness in which joy, sorrow, fear, hate, or the like, is experienced, as distinguished from cognitive and volitional states of consciousness.

• Any of the feelings of joy, sorrow, fear, hate, love, etc.

• Any strong agitation of the feelings actuated by experiencing love, hate, fear, etc., and usually accompanied by certain physiological changes, as increased heartbeat or respiration, and often overt manifestation, as crying or shaking.

With that said I think we can comprehend that the word emotion pertains to the feeling hate alongside all of the said feelings. I suppose others may think of it as more or define it differently which is to be expected but I didn’t think it would hurt to correct those who deem the character Sasuke as emotionless because hate is in fact an emotion.

You stated that during Naruto’s confrontation that Sasuke didn't feel anything implying he was emotionless as a factual statement when it would be impossible to confirm this – unless of course you yourself would be Kishimoto, his staff / advisors, etc. I cannot claim he did or did not as fact but perhaps if he did feel something and I base this because when he angrily asked Naruto why he pursued him so far and Naruto answered him, he seemed dumbfounded to say the least – which is something that shouldn’t impact a completely emotionless person in my opinion. Perhaps Sasuke feels as if he has went to far to turn back and might even think changing is impossible.

My thoughts regarding your loathing of the character for seeking revenge is that I see it as ignorant. You have stated something in which it would be impossible to say with complete certainty. I cannot claim that I wouldn’t want revenge if I were in Sasuke’s shoes because I would stating something while not having any emotional stress impacting my process of thought – in others words making rational decisions. If I were to find myself in Sasuke’s position following my family / clan’s massacre and being tormented about it by my very own brother I would probably find myself heavily distraught and most likely would have a different set of mind from when I was perfectly sane and rational.

Just because you and another may have different values and beliefs doesn’t mean you can’t come to a conclusion and respect one another.

I don’t think you completely realize that Sasuke was able to choose his path without any sort of interference. I personally think you should re-direct your hate to Itachi / Orochimaru / Madara for manipulating and basically pushing him on his path. If I’m not mistaken Itachi stated Sasuke was something like a blank canvas and can be easily painted any color which is the truth seeing as he was the first one to "paint" a color.

On certain instances and I can side with the whole “eye for an eye” concept but not always and one should know that obviously the rest of the world will have their own viewpoints. On some cases people follow that principle accordingly -- Treat others as you would like to be treated. If you do something bad, the punishment should be equal to the crime or so to speak.

There are many murderers who will murder again if they are allowed to wander free even if they've been in jail for years. Jail isn't that much of a deterrent for them. If there is absolutely no doubt that the person is a murderer then the person is usually be punished be it death for another fitting punishment. If an eye for an eye isn’t practiced then the death penalty or even war wouldn’t exist.

Don’t get me wrong though, I complete understand what you are trying to say and I acknowledge it.

Before I rip your post apart (metaphorically), let me just remind you that this thread is titled "Why do so many hate sasuke???", which implies that the initial feelings one should have towards Sasuke should be similar to love or assumes so. A proper title such as "Do you love or hate Sasuke?" would be more logical. Intuitively, one would automatically assume with a title like that, that everyone is different with respect to their views on Sasuke - which is realistic.
In an ideal world, I would assume that everyone eats the same type of food I eat, listens to the same type of music I listen to, etc... etc... However, this is not the case at all...

Now think hard about this...think really hard. Why? The reason why is because your post that I have quoted above makes many assumptions about my own personal self which you do not know one bit.
For example:
You stated "I don’t think you completely realize that Sasuke was able to choose his path without any sort of interference. I personally think you should re-direct your hate to Itachi / Orochimaru / Madara for manipulating and basically pushing him on his path.

A couple of things that are wrong here.
First thing... DON'T EVER tell me what I should be thinking of. Mind your own damn business. Back your own posts.
I have a theory, arguement, etc... I back my own post up...I don't go around telling others they are wrong in their way of thinking.

It is their mind, their body, their soul, they can type whatever the hell they want about their opinion as it is THEIR OPINION. In their mind, their opinion makes sense - maybe not in yours... but what does it matter? You have your OWN OPINION that you can personally manipulate - just like them.

One more thing.
I don't give a crap about what you think about my ideas. I am not asking you to agree with me.
I am not telling anyone here to hate sasuke therefore you shouldn't be telling anyone else here to love Sasuke as well.
The thread asked about why I hate sasuke and I gave my reasons. You don't like them...like I said...cry my a god damn river.

I have argued my two points clearly. You don't seem to understand it...that is perfectly acceptable as there are many people who don't pick up concepts as quickly as others.

If I was to narrow my REASON for hating Sasuke to one statementm that would be:
"I hate Sasuke because he desires revenge."

You said:
"If I were to find myself in Sasuke’s position following my family / clan’s massacre and being tormented about it by my very own brother I would probably find myself heavily distraught and most likely would have a different set of mind from when I was perfectly sane and rational."

Good for you...no really...You would be like Sasuke. Let's examine the key word: YOU.

NOT I....YOU.

Just because YOU believe that YOU would do the same as Sasuke doesn't mean that I would do the same.

GRADE 1 STYLE:
SASUKE WANTS REVENGE.
I DO NOT LIKE THOSE WHO WANT REVENGE.
THEREFORE, I DO NOT LIKE SASUKE.
What more do you need to be able to understand this?
My younger brother loves sasuke because he thinks sasuke is "cool." I am not going to go up to him and say he is WRONG because 1) His definition of cool is different than mine and 2) IT is HIS OPINION

Next:
Why do you say "I personally think you should re-direct your hate to Itachi / Orochimaru / Madara for manipulating and basically pushing him on his path."
DID I SAY I DON'T HATE THEM. NO. SO WHY DO YOU ASSUME THAT I DON'T HATE THEM.

This thread is not about oro/mad/itachi etc... it is about Sasuke.
I don't care if his mother was killed in front of him... that does not grant you the right to go and get your revenge. Or else, where would FORGIVE come in.
IF Sasuke FORGAVE those who oppressed his clan, I would give him respect and therefore LOVE SASUKE. BUT, he didn't do that...
If you don't understand this...then god help you.

&

"Don’t get me wrong though, I complete understand what you are trying to say and I acknowledge it."

I believe these two statements of mine were implying that I realize that people are obviously see things differently from one another and that should be something respected. As I said before I understand your logic in disliking the character for seeking vengeance – I don’t know what could have possibly hinted you otherwise.

If don’t mind could you riddle me this? Do you dislike any of the other characters that have attempted or successfully extracted revenge in the series?

I also feel the need to correct you because when I said that "I personally believe…" It meant that it was something that I thought and was merely advice and not an order as you so claimed – whether or not you followed is a choice that must be decided by no one other than yourself.

Another thing is that I was only giving you my own opinion about the matter and if you felt as if I was forcing it upon you then that wasn’t my intention. I only wanted to share my own thoughts about it which is why forums exist in the first place, right?

I assumed you didn’t already dislike those characters because when you were sharing your thoughts about Sasuke, you put the entire blame on him walking that path to vengeance solely on himself and you didn’t make any sort of acknowledgement that it was something that he decided through interference.

To be quite honest it seems as if you were implying that you are immune to the effects of emotional stress.

•Emotional stress: Stress wherein emotional factors (joy, anger, melancholy, worry, grief, fear, and fright.) predominate.

With that said if someone were to experience this type of stress they would be overcome by an emotional factor(s) and one wouldn’t be processing things like they rationally would. Humans can only handle so much emotional stress; there is a breaking point at which the emotional stress is too much and the emotional weight can drive a person to consciously or even subconsciously desire revenge. That is why in certain court trials plea temporary insanity.

Where I’m trying to get at is that a person who suffers this may be completely against revenge beforehand and when they suffer this they may have an overpowering desire to do that exactly. I don’t think someone should claim things factually if they had yet to personally experience it.

I have clearly stated in a number of my previous posts that I hate Sasuke and the ones that caused him to go on his journey for revenge.

Take this from a different perspective...

I am not quesioning Sasuke's MOTIVES for his REVENGE. He has a VERY GOOD REASON FOR IT. HOWEVER, I have stated over and over again that I DONT CARE WHAT HIS REASONS ARE. Take that out of the EQUATION.

You can have a perfectly good reason to kill someone. You can also have a perfectly good reason not to kill someone - that is called being merciful.

Instead of Sasuke turning into one of "them," he could've helped other children who were experiencing the same effects as him...even orphans.

When someone experiences the harsh side of reality, they are faced with a choice. They can either mature and develop into well-rounded individuals or take the other route.

Sasuke took the other route.

Any character that has chosen the path for revenge is a path I do not support. My morals are different than yours.

Out of all the characters, Sasuke IN MY EYES, has been shaped into a revenge seeking machine by outside influences and by his childhood. I hate those who put him through this and I hate him for choosing to follow that path.

IF Naruto has ever taken someone's life due to his need for revenge then I hate him just as much as Sasuke.

My point is... this thread was asking about why we don't like Sasuke, not any other character. IF a character other than Sasuke was being discussed and that character was in this for revenge I would still hold my ground and voice my opinion in the same manner as I have just did.

 non of what u said had anything to do with da quote of mine posted,

if u say so and what facts it was a uchiha not the uchihas

well let me list of y i do like him: fighting style, he is one of the few uchihas to get MS, he goes past dat and becomes 1 of 2 people to get EMS, he learned da chidori and made his own and used it like we never seen before (i.e. kakashi who made it only used chidori and chidori dog), he set a goal and stayed focused on it and was not swayed by naruto and his bubble gum world propaganda like many other bad guys, also i like bad guys, he is also one of the most powerful ninja in the ninja world no matter how he got there. witch brings me to another point most of the jutsus are taught or learned from someone else( i.e. chidori, resengan, and sage mode, etc.etc.) also all that was "given" to sasuke was den made his own like da chidori, black flames, and bone guy. so as far as "given" him powers he is never satisfied with it and he makes a good thing better...

dats 8 things just of the top of my head, not a short list for some one who gives credit where credit is do!
funny He has yet to create a jutsu, naruto did though right. Naruto also perfected sage mode as j-man could not. So he is taking things and making them better to. How many PEOPLE have ms.....itatchi, sasuke, madera, kakashi, maderas brother had it, thats more then a few....

Actually, the only time I’ve seen you refer to the others who "caused this upon Sasuke" was when Juuken brought up the subject that others intervened in Sasuke’s path. Although, if you were referring to other threads then you may discard what I have just stated. Forgive me but if you hate Sasuke for his revenge then you must hate the manga in certain aspects as it has had many characters choose the path of vengeance. Also, I have seen many contradictions on your part for e.g.

"Instead of Sasuke turning into one of "them," he could've helped other children who were experiencing the same effects as him...even orphans.

"

To then stating

"Out of all the characters, Sasuke IN MY EYES, has been shaped into a revenge seeking machine by outside influences and by his childhood. I hate those who put him through this and I hate him for choosing to follow that path."

You say he should have chosen against revenge to turn around and state your acknowledgment of Sasuke’s interventions.

Before Orochimaru’s intervention, Sasuke had begun to change as he began to bond with his team, etc. however after Orochimaru’s temptation offer and Itachi’s return which heavily played on his mind via the second Tsukuyomi dose he then was rerouted back on the avenging trail. Itachi among others (Orochimaru/Madara) would not let Sasuke derail off the path of revenge plain and simple. It is not like this character did nothing to break out of the never-ending cycle that his brother initially created.

Listen, I understand your point/opinion of revenge but what I am debating is your reasoning behind your answer to this thread. Shikamaru & co. had the choice to choose revenge as well as Naruto (for Jiraiya) but Sasuke was not given the initial opportunity of this as his brother practically forced him into it without him coming to that choice of his own free will.

When you read the manga and follow his actions and attitude it's easy not to like Sasuke. All his jutsu is gifted to him without any work. He's just mad and blames everyone for why things are wrong. He finally kills Itachi and now he hates everyone.

May I advise you if you haven't already read my post above yours to read the second part of it and see if you still come to that same conclusion about him and his revenge? So his Sharingan/Mangekyou kekkei genkai/chidori and variations are all gifted to him as well? Anyways anything else gifted was by his own desire. He wanted to get his revenge over with and so he chose to receive power as fast as possible though he does indeed likes to train/has trained/battle experience. Also, Sasuke did not kill Itachi as it was more he indirectly killed him in terms of Itachi’s illness/his own will to die by his brother’s hand.

When someone experiences the harsh side of reality, they are faced with a choice. They can either mature and develop into well-rounded individuals or take the other route.

Sasuke took the other route.

Do you even know what the word contradiction means? I do not think so.

I have stated that Sasuke should have turned against revenge to help others. That is not a contradiction to what I have been saying this whole time.
Yes, any part in the manga that clearly shows someone acting upon vengeance is a part I do not like.

Sorry, but you just went on and on about nothing in that post.

I personally don't think there is anything wrong with Sasuke.
