Why do people think sasuke will turn good...?

'Hey sasuke back in the day i owned madara everytime we fought, while my bro here killed izuna. Soo we compromised, made konoha but madara was warnin me that tobirama would persecute uchiha and theyd get destroyed, the fool(nevermind its exactly what happened). Senju were superior to uchiha, and when madara asked to choose my bro and him i said nothing. We later fought and i killed him, but hey i did it all for the village. Cuz im a shinobi, and so was madara'.

How does any of that lessen Sasuke's hate? Even if he werent emo nothing in this flashback would make someone go like ' Oh so THATS how it was, dammit my eyes have opened now, i better return to konoha cuz the uchiha always got beat by senju....'

There better be some talk by minato here before sasuke decides, so that way he at least knows tobi lied etc. Honestly itd be an ass pull if he became good right now.

P.S: hashirama thinks a village is a big deal cuz of what he went through growing up, the clan system made him suffer. But what sasuke went through growing up made him hate the village, cuz the village system made him suffer. What you grow up with= scars u for life. Sasukes hate is more justified than any other villain in this show, not sure if he should turn good, and def not with such a lame pretext.

naruto said i wont let my friends die, neji died. he dreamed to get sakura but may have to settle on hinata etc. Not everything he wanted can or should come true. Sasuke has too much baggage to turn good just like that imo. Kishi has shown some emotionally realistic things, bringing sasuke back wont be one of them tho.

Umm lets see the village was never to blame as a whole uchiha and senju wanted peace period the only ones sasuke has to blame for what happened in his life is madara for not execpting that you don't have to have control in order to protect what you love, tobirama for being to bias in his judgements and especially Danzo and the elders for reacting to quickly and harshly against the uchiha

how is naruto wanting to become hokage not selfish? sasukes doing this for people who are already dead, and seeing what the uchiha history was, cant really blame him. heck it sure shits on obitos excuse, thats for sure.

Look at the story that Sasuke knows now: There was a village. The Uchiha were marginalized. Later, leaders of the village forced his brother to kill his family and then the brother (after living a life of lies and suffering for many years) allows himself to be killed at the hands of the brother he loves. That's pretty bad.

But look at the version Hashirama told: Hashirama and Madara were friends who both wanted the village. Hashirama was more powerful. Given the chance, Hashirama showed mercy and refused to kill Madara (offering even to kill himself to end the blood feud). Hashirama created a place to stop children from suffering and dying. Madara went crazy and decided to destroy the village (and therefore expose the children to suffering and death again). Hashirama finally killed Madara to save the children.

So even though the village did a bad thing to the Uchiha, it was based on the right reasons. Also, there's a real argument to be made that the Uchiha were the problem, not the victim.

Sasuke's choice now is:

1) Continue his course of revenge. Destroy the leaf village and allow the world to descend into war. This will kill many children and will continue the cycle of hatred forever and ever. Nothing will get fixed and everybody will always suffer.

2) Give up revenge and work to end the cycle of hatred. Bring peace, and nobody will suffer.

If Sasuke is a sympathetic, logical person, he'll pick option #2.

I think Sasuke will turn on the right jus to simply break the cycle all those before him have done.Naruto and the Konoha formerly 11 now 10 have always thought him as part of the village and a friend..He's also noticed how Naruto hasn't given up on him even after his lil hissy fit for these 3 or 4 years.He'll be a good kid again

Sasuke won't return to the village (imo), and I don't think he can either, after the crimes he has committed. (Killing Danzo and attacking the Kage summit)

My prediction is that he will not choose to return to the village and he will go after Naruto. His battle with Naruto will determine whether or not he will destroy the Hidden Leaf.
