[Discussion] Why do people think Sasuke will be welcomed back to village or not thrown in jail

awh ya because he's all so powerful yet with the power given to him by Hagamoro his support with Naruto had next to no effect on Kaguya and in that battle people be like "Sasuke's waiting to show his true power" until trap Kaguya and Sakura smashes her back down after she tried escaping skyward LOL even she in that moment was more useful then Sasuke was in that whole battle so all he was good for was that Seal on his hand

Kaguya would not have been sealed without him.
Like it or not, he's been a major asset in the SA arsenal since he arrived on the battlefield.
With the true history of the Uchiha and BZ's manipulation of them being revealed, how could Konoha not welcome him?

This is something people don't seem to realize, Naruto wouldn't do anything to him anyway, he won't be punished whether he's pardoned for his crimes or not.

Pretty much. If they want to teach Orochimaru a lesson, they have to kill him. Look at the series as a whole. Has killing anyone actually helped anything? Naruto didn't kill any one of his enemies. He let them live and they died on their own.

For each enemy Sasuke has killed, he went deeper into darkness and rage.

In order to live in a peaceful society, it all starts with getting rid of the hatred and ill feelings. That is why I believe everyone will be given a second chance this time around.

So in real life we should do this, right? Not punish criminals?

Yes, but what have we learned from the last chapters. Everything was all set up and carefully planned by Black Zetsu / Kaguya. All the major players were just pawns. If Sasuke didn't aid in the revival, it would've eventually been revived by the help of others anyway. Resulting in the same, if not more killed in battle.

And if Sasuke hadn't revived Orochimaru and eventually chose to aid the alliance with the Edokages, the alliance would've been Bijuu bombed away atleast 3+ times. The edokages were ESSENTIAL and where only there because of Sasuke having chosen to fight (otherwise Oro would've released the Edo.) And with Sasuke choosing to aid the alliance, he indirectly saved the current Kages (Oro deciding to follow Sasuke and going off to heal the Gokage)
And without Sasuke, everyone is dead cuz Kaguya would be roflstomping Naruto and gang's dead bodies. (Because he was needed for the Seal)


It's not what you've done in the past, it's about what you do in the end.
His actions and decisions had major effects on the outcome of the war (even if his fighting was actually kinda lame imo, he was subpar compaired to Naruto and Kakashi in the end)
He's done more than enough to redeem himself.

But if it makes you all feel better, he will probably do something douchey again soon.

Sasuke aided in the revival. That's accessory to mass murder and he killed some innocent people himself. Here you're saying people should turn a blind eye to that because it could have happened another way. That is a stupid excuse. You think that logic should apply to our justice system?

Sasuke was one that helped caused that scenario and he was not forced into doing it. He knew it was wrong and it caused the deaths of Neji, Ino's father, and Shikamaru's father, ect. He can only truly redeem himself if he brought all those lost lives back. Doesn't matter if he indirectly helped saved Kages.

Black Zetsu and Kaguya did not make Sasuke join Akatsuki or Orochimaru. That was his choice.

So if Osama Bin Laden helped saved the world he shouldn't be punished for his crimes? Obito helped saved the world he would still be considered a criminal. Sasuke helps started the mess as well.

First of all most of his 'Crimes' are justified to begin with. Danzo deserved to die,same goes for dieadara,Raikage deserved attacked him first and Susake burned of his arm with amaterasu in self defence,same goes for the fodder samurai which attacked him first. Susake only went to the kage summit to kill danzo(which deserved death) so it's not his fault that his fault other kages/bodyguards attacked him first. He did not bring hachibi to obito. He brought a fake. People misunderstand susake.
Everybody says 'he is a criminal' for things he has done. However nobody takes into consideration the evil which konosha has brought to his life. It's interesting that nobody takes notice of this. Konoha are more gulity than susake.
In any case the whole world would be zetsu if it werent for combine deffort of him,naruto and the alliance.
Susake used his rinnengan/susano to stop team 7 from getting trapped in It? What would happen otherwise?Everyone would be zetsu. The almighty naruto would not be able to stop IT from affecting team 7 because he does not have rinnengan.

Sasuke is helping everyone because it helps himself. He has yet to show one selfless action since he's changed sides. All his actions have been for himself. Even saving naruto was so he could save himself because without naruto sealing kaguya would've been impossible.

But, there is nobody strong enough to arrest sasuke besides naruto and he obv won't arrest sasuke. So, looks like he's going to get a pass on his crimes.

How is anybody going to be able to throw Sasuke in jail? Now that Hagoromo and all the previous Kage are gone, only Naruto is maybe stronger than him, and I don't see Naruto throwing his best friend in jail.
