[Discussion] Why do people think Sasuke will be welcomed back to village or not thrown in jail

How is anybody going to be able to throw Sasuke in jail? Now that Hagoromo and all the previous Kage are gone, only Naruto is maybe stronger than him, and I don't see Naruto throwing his best friend in jail.

Hago is above that. He won't interfere with sasuke. Sasuke reminds him of his son after all.

Prove it. Not that it matters. That's like saying a hitman shouldn't be punished for killing someone, because another hitman would have been hired to do it.

By that logic Orochimaru should not be punished for his crimes since he helped. Plus Sasuke took the lives of several innocent people.

As it stands currently, he will not be welcomed back or trusted by anyone except Naruto and suckuraw. But I suspect there is more to happen before they return to the village. In the end, suckske either needs to die sacrificing himself for the village or become a wandering ninja protecting the village from the shadows like his brother (the latter was a plausible scenario previously posted by someone else, but I think it is a very possible option).

No offense, but do people think that Hagoromo will come in with handcuffs at the end of the fight and arrest Sasuke or something?
