Why do people think Lightning Blade is useless on Kakashi w/o Sharingan?

maybe you missed kakashi gaiden where kakashi couldn't use raikiri until he got sharingan.

reason you need to sharingan to maximise chidori/raikiri is cos of the vision aid it provides helping to user to see the enemy's move to counter the technique why, cos you also need a high speed to perfect the technique also

If you want to argue against Kishi, then be my guest. I think it was said though, that it wasn't
because Kakashi can't use the jutsu altogether, but that it would be too dangerous. Since, without the
Sharingan, he can't see properly or something and was open to an enemy's attack.
Don't ask me why, because it's simply stated in the manga. Besides, it makes much more sense
than half of the things going on in there.

They're completely correct, it's explained in the Kakashi chronicles. The sharingan's ability to predict movements negates the tunnel visions loss of reaction speed. For real world example, imagine driving incredibly fast, your peripherals are essentially useless and you can only see directly in front of you; however, if you were to do this with essentially a high speed camera for eyes (sharingan in a nut shell), you would be able to see as if you're moving at normal speeds.

Minato made Kakashi promise not to use it again since he becomes really fast when using it that he becomes defenseless because his reflexes are slower than to notice all the action behind the light in his hands already.
When Kakashi uses Raikiri along with the sharingan he sees everything slower, therefor improving his reflexes and could have some defense while holding it up. It's just making him almost perfect when using it without big drawbacks.

He can use it without a sharingan. He just can't notice everything when going fast while using it and the light flashing in his eyes as well, at least he couldn't when he was a kid.
