Why do people think Hiruzen has anything worthwhile in store for us?

By his own words, Hiruzen wouldn't be able to stand up to Part 1 Orochimaru if he weren't an Edo. The only difference now is that he has unlimited stamina (and we already know that they can't use more chakra than what they were able to use during their lifetime, as shown when Muu split in half or when the Nidaime Mizukage was using Jokey Boy). No way he's standing up to Sage Mode Jiraiya, Gamakichi, Gamabunta, Gamaken, and Gamahiro when his own words prove otherwise.

He said that, yet he was able to stand against Orochimaru+Edo Hashirama and Edo Tobirama. Regardless of how weak they were, they were still considered Hokage level and he still managed to defend the village against them, so words are meaningless infront of actual feats

Like i've said, only time will tell. Thinking he would be weak or strong is only a wishful thinking atm

If Tsunade can use sealing techniques, she beats the Edo Hiruzen with med- high diff.

The only reason why I put him above her is because if she can't seal him, she'll run out of chakra eventually. We haven't seen her use fuinjutsu on that level, if at all.

Well we know she is capable of using an 'S' rank sealing ninjutsu, the Byakugou seal. So probably she knows some offensive sealing techniques too.

But she has an another option: She can trap Hiruzen inside of Katsuyu's body who would reverse summon Hiruzen to the slugs forest, lol.

I think he is a cool guy and kage; also a lovable character; i would rather see i character i like in action more than an op one.

Also; it is good he is not having his time while other 2 hokage are around. Kishimoto have tendency to troll something to hype another; look at Minato on the last chapter U_U. Hiruzen would totally be victimized at such conditions. He is cool in my book already...

He survived against the weakened Edo Hashirama and Edo Tobirama who were taking turns while Orochimaru stood still and then survived against Part 1 Orochimaru in a kenjutsu battle while Edo Hashirama and Edo Tobirama stood still for only three chapters. Tsunade would have lasted much, much longer. Sage Mode Jiraiya would have won it.

Judging by his stamina from that fight, and the performance of Part 1 Orochimaru without arms against the other Sannin later on, Part 1 Orochimaru would have still taken him.

The feats that prove that by his own words he's under Part 1 Orochimaru? Oh wait, he has unlimited stamina now, but even then Edos are only allowed the chakra amount they had whilst alive (take for example when Muu split or when the Nidaime Mizukage used Jokey Boy).

Even Hiruzen at his best would still be under Current Orochimaru; he's on Hashirama's cells and now has the new version of Manda (and it's revealed that he has other snakes as well).

Pretty sure it was established that Prime Hiruzen is above Orochimaru's level considering he was able to fight on par with Oro in Part 1 and it was stated that he is miserable compared to his prime, his chakra was much more vast than it is now.

Hashirama's cells give him more stamina and fodder level Mokuton. Can he even summon Manda II? Even so, its not like he could summon as he lacks blood due to his new body.
