It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good.

I love the first half of it, but than they just dragged it on too long and than rushed it in the battle which every fan wanted to see (Naruto VS Sasuke)

-Asspulls.
-The Alliance didn't really know what they were fighting against. I mean, they hardly knew what Infinite Tsukuyomi was.
-Pacing was terrible.

I wished there was just a single villain not a "haha ur just a puppet and ha ur just a puppet too!" kind of thing that happened in the war arc.

Because it lasted 4 ****ing years and was horrible? Asspull after asspull after asspull, general uselessness of everyone in the alliance not named Naruto or Sasuke, atrocious pacing, the list goes on and on.

All of these are the true reasons.

Everything post-Obito reveal suffered from inconsistent pacing and repetition.

Obito vs SA dragged, and a single change of villains ending with Madara would have been enough.

BZ/Kaguya just took time away from Naruto vs Sasuke and the conclusion.

I never really understood that. Well aside from the asspulls it was pretty decent. Sure its not as good as the hebi or pain arc but it wasn't necessarily terrible.

Did you like it or no?

Over all It was ok. But it couldn't keep the intense feel of the part one.

Masashi Kishimoto: I want to pay a lot of attention to every character while drawing them, but I have to omit some points. So it is difficult to make a judgment on what to omit and what to show

Also, war is a difficult theme to write about.. I grew up in Okayama, which is right next to Hiroshima. My grandparents went through the terror of war, and I know from their stories that the war was built up on people’s grudges.

But you can’t just look at the current state and criticize it as being simply wrong, because every little thing in our history causes the build-up towards war, and when it reaches its limit, it breaks out. So even in the manga, it wouldn’t be believable unless I carefully elaborate on the war’s background.

As my grandfather taught me, I believe that “war is never the right answer,” but I also understand that there will always be war. I feel lucky that I grew up in a generation that didn’t experience war. However, there are certain things that only my generation can tell in a story, and I can tell it from my own perspective. Even though it’s fiction, I want to make people feel like that there is still hope..

I would say the main problem is that it was a big arc with several characters lasting a few years but the actual time line of these happening in the manga is much smaller. It got spread in a large area at once- which seemed impressive at the beginning with all the strategic planning but then writer had the difficulty in handling everything at the same time and balancing it. They could probably have done it in better way if they broke it in a few more stages.

Besides a lot of people got too hung up on Tobi ID and once it was revealed they lost interest. People got angry a lot and fan wars between Obito theorists and the rest of them made people discontent even more and made it look a lot worse than it was.

Read it in volumes without checking the forums in between and you would like it better.

The war arc itself was okay, it was when they fought Obito and unmasked him the manga started getting boring. Overall the war arc is definitely worse quality than the earlier arcs though.

The entire "war arc", but let's just call it Baby War was pathetic!

- Massive character resurrection just to humiliating them (Deidara, Sasori, Hanzo ect).
- Until the Shinobi Army VS Juubi NOBODY from the important good characters died, and even Neji, THE ONLY CASUALITY OF THE "WAR" was killed by the main antagonist himself!
- All the "legendaries" Edo Ninjas (with the exception of Madara) was one shoted!
- Half of the fights were cheap and bad written, the other half wasn't even shown (see Kakashi's Division defeats Swordsmen without showing them)!
- Sasuke is not againts the Shinobi Army!
- The fights are bad and DBZ like.
- Tsunade made a Hiyori from Bleach!
- The final battle againts Obito was longer than Goku VS Fierza.

Overral no, the war arc was a very stupid and weak arc! The "Otsutsuki arc" was JUST the cherry on the crap.

Damn, the Bleach's "First Quincy Invasion arc" was MUCH better and awasome! It was more war like then the Naruto's Baby War arc.

Bleach "First Quincy Invasion Arc" starts from chapter 480 to chapter 514. These 34 chapters one shot Naruto's 200 chapter long "war arc". And even after that the Quincies still win some matches (Bazz-B defeats Toshiro, BG9 defeats Soi-Fong, Mask defeats Kensei and Rojuro + 3 vice-captains ect). But in Naruto, non of the "legends" can win againts the Shinobi Army, not even the resurrected Kages! Madara was the only exception, but he was the main antagonist so he doesn't count.

War-Arc was meh. It was really just build up for the final arc.

It started going downhill the moment the alliance were on the battlefield.
Should have ended with only the people who were relevant:
Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, Gai and Bee vs Obito and Madara IMO.

War Arc had so much potential but sonme of the things that ruined this arc IMO are:

- Naruto calling Obito the coolest guy ever.
- The asspulls
- Kaguya as the final villain
- Too long, the fights weren't develop correctly

I honestly did not mind so much...
Actually up to Obito's reveal was really good...
The problem was:
-Dragged for too long with a bad pacing
-The Ootsuki plotline...
