Why do people hate the war arc so much?

I never really understood that. Well aside from the asspulls it was pretty decent. Sure its not as good as the hebi or pain arc but it wasn't necessarily terrible.

Didn't hate it as a whole, but hated parts like Kaguya and the hundreds of flashbacks.

The only glimmer oh hope in that entire arc was Uchiha Madara. I said it plenty of times and ill say it again...Madara carried that whole arc on his back. Without him, this war arc is worst then bleach's full bringer arc.

For me the one that really ruined it for me was Nejis death it wasn't even fair he was an awesome character and was forgotten about in part 2 kishi only gave him one new move which was the air palm while we saw new stuff for the rest of the k11 and his death was said to be used to bring naruto and hinata closer together but there's a whole movie that already did that and there's barely any reference to him in that movie and no one else apart from naruto hinata hiashi and lee grieved his death not even that THOT tenten who was on his D during his battle against naruto. And he deserved a funeral of his own and after all da hype that he would become the hyuuga head and change the clan he gets killed off.

It was the moment kishi bent over for his editors to spit on our faces..

1. Almost every battle was generic and severely lacked in creativity, the readers' expectations got shat on hard by a Bull
2. Never saw the other shinobi's potential, lack of variety with jutsus (especially 8tails and Sakura)
3. Rinnegan lost its appeal, being passed around like a blunt in a snoop dogg party U_U
4. Mangekyo being stronger than Rinnegan is basically an insult to the readers after all the hype it received
5. Rin being the only excuse just made Obito look sad, he lost his badassery
6. Having a partial amount of zetsu cells shouldn't give Obito the lifeforce of an Uzumaki/Senju otherwise Madara wouldn't have needed SM, he should have died when becoming jinchuuriki U_U
7. Madara's death was bullshit, he's the ultimate sensor and dojutsu user and didn't see that coming.. anyone of Madara's standards would have committed suicide for being so naive :l
8. Neji's death
9. Minato taming the kyuubi, f*** kishi for that, Minato using SM, again f*** Kishi for that, those abilities were meant to be unique to Naruto, at that point he was just another Sakura
10. So many potholes being brought up for the purpose of milking a franchise U_U
11. Kakashi's Susanoo (longest asspull I've seen since Krillin's revivals and frieza vs future trunks)
12. Kishi's editors threw away the creative potential he developed for the manga

Thankfully we don't read the manga for its logic but it's unpredictability I still love the manga, Guy vs Madara, Naruto vs Sasuke were my favorite. Madara vs Naruto and Sasuke should have been F***ING LONGER!

Asspulls were made, story went somewhat off-track, and characters were butchered. And don't even get me started on the Ōtsutsuki. They were the worst thing that ever happened to the manga. Ever since Naruto and Sasuke met the Sage, along with the story of Indra, Ashura and Kaguya, the story went out the damn window and off to wherever Kaguya came from.
