In my opinion, people hate Sasuke because:
1. Fanboys. Instead of using rational thought, all they say in a discussion is Susano and Amaterasu, Just look at the comments made by unorthodox. LOL

2. Because he walks the wrong path.

3. Since midway the regular Naruto series, he's been jealous of Naruto.

Truth is it's not the char, and it's not the fanboys. How can you blame the fictional charecter? You can't, it's the way kishi has made sasuke is what people dislike. Kishi has said it himself that he's a sasuke fan and it being his show he could make sasuke god of naruto if he wanted to. I actually like himbut stay away when fanboys ruin his image.

Ppl say he's an Emo but ofcourse he is! his whole family was wiped out....but not just that! he was tortured by itachi as a little kid and then again when he was 14. Sasuke's had it rough and he's lived this path for so long now he doesnt know how to exist any other way. Its all Itachi's fault, if you want someone to grow up as a hero dont tell them to live a life of hate lol thats just stupid! Sasuke would have probably taken revenge without that and been a little more level headed about the whole thing.

Itachi's a great Uchiha warrior but he deserves to be dead! he cut down his own parents i dont think his mum was even a combatant i mean come on!!

Sasuke Uchiha... Let us look at this amazing shinobi over the ages. He was top in his academy graduation class. He activated his sharringan around 13. He learned chidori as a genin. He is supperior in thought, taijutsu, genjutsu, and strategy then most his age.

He got a seal that gave him power... He feels the need for more so he leaves the leaf.

He works hard to master Chidori and become very adept in his genjutsu. He then takes on orochimaru by himself and then defeated diedara... You know what? Thus far he is a pretty great guy.

Then Kishi had an orgasm.... He actually had Itachi die and the moment he did he turned sasuke into a god... With no hard work at all.... That is why Sasuke is hated. He didn't earn his most recent ridiculously overused new powers.

Yeah ive said that he did recently spam MS alot! but he did work to kill Itachi! its not his fault Itachi went there to die, Itachi would have won for sure had he been healthy and trying but Sasuke didnt spam attack he used strategy.
I'm hoping this whole chat with Itachi has defused him somewhat, i cant see how he can go on being psycho afterwards.
