Damage control?You all sasuke haters were the ones posting thread after thread about how Sasuke is fodder, how Sasuke sucks. If you look at the number of threads, the sasuke haters threads at least reached more than one hundred during this month. When the IT arc started, it was sasuke haters who started making tons of threads about Sasuke, then saying that sasuke fans were doing damage control by rebutting.

Jokes aside, the Naruto fans are looking quite pathetic right now, and it further proves the point that they can't stop talking about Sasuke, knowing how much they have a distaste for him. Jealousy is a powerful thing so I guess when Sasuke is hyped the Naruto fans become constipated. Good to know.

A normal fan of a character is able to fully acknowledge his fave's strengths and weaknesses, virtues and flaws - be it in terms of power or how the character is built. More or less, the fan is able to defend his character well in an argument, but will most likely give up if he's up against mindless haters/trolls, which is the smart thing to do anyway.

A fanboy is different. He will either ignore or refuse to accept the flaws that his character has (in any sense), and will desperately defend him/her no matter who he's "debating" with. A fanboy ruins the credibility of the fans, which makes more people hate the character itself. A lot of times he will resort to bashing his character's antipode - basically what Naruto vs Sasuke threads are made of. The opposite of fanboy is a hater.

Sooo, i'm kinda saying it won't be bad for you to be just a normal Sasuke fan. ))

Well, honestly, I am probably neither then. I share characteristics of both, but also differ from them in some other characteristics. But I think I would like both types, whether fans or fanboys, as long as they are Sasuke fans.

Sasuke's character demands a hefty literature knowledge as far as Classical Tragedies go. If you haven't read those, you wouldn't grasp the complexity of his character. NBers are mostly education and common-sense deprived, hence the poor choices in characters. No one should get all upset over it.

I just read, laugh, and thoroughly enjoy their inept attempts at waging wars against random internet people, and a character that is well beyond their pint-sized understanding of good authorial ventures. How sad for them.

Well, after four pages of discussions, I think I have established that Sasuke haters hate Sasuke for no really good reason. It is mostly either because they just plain hate Sasuke fans,or think that Sasuke fans are immature, which is not a good enough reason to hate Sasuke. So can NarutoBase kindly please stop underrating Sasuke?
