SasuSaku was only romantic in part1 and towards the end of Part 2.

Sakura never chased Sasuke, for romance, it was to save him from himself, to help him, she didn't care about herelf, she just wamted him happy.
This was all explained.
SasuSaku isn't fanfic.
Sasuke has shown interest and genuine concern for Sakura many times. He most likley surpressed those feelings for her because they would get in the way of his power.
Kill or losing the thing you love the most.
