Why do people assume hashirama is safe from genjutsu and wont get defeated by it?

yet people think highly advanced genjutsu like tsukuyomi and izanami and kotoamatsukami won't get hashirama?

The excuse that is often put is that hashirama fought uchihas so he is safe from highly advanced genjutsu but he only fought fodder uchihas and madara who hardly ever use genjutsu

itachi always uses genjutsu right from the start and also several times during the match, why do people try to equate him to fodder uchihas or even madara?

I dont see why Hashirama can't be hit with Genjutsu, so yes someone who is highly skilled in the art (like Itachi) has a fighting chance. But Hashirama is still a god amongst shinobi, and theres no getting around that.

Well, we don't know the extent of Hashirama's Mokuton. I mean we just recently learned that he can enter Sage Mode by absorbing Nature chakra through his Mokuton Jutsu. That's more advanced then having to remain still to enter it like Toad Sage Mode.

Now, this is just speculation but, Hashirama may be able to use his Mokuton to break Genjutsu. I mean to say he has only fought Fodder Uchiha is a presumption. We don't have a detailed explanation of his exploits. For all we know he has faced a great number of Uchiha who specialize in Genjutsu like Itachi.

But you do have a point. It is just assumed he is Safe From Genjutsu becuase he is so powerful...but then...So was Nagato and he was caught in a genjutsu as well by Jiraiya...at least his path of pain was.

I don't think Hashirama is Immu to Gen atleast we don't have enough proof to say that but Iam sure Hashirama is skilled enough to fight while avoiding Gen...
