Why do I have low esteem ?

Whenever a girl looks at me I look away immediately I can't maintain eye contact for more than 0.001 seconds without twitching. I always make these weird faces when people look at me intensely.

I always get told I'm "good looking" but I can't really believe it I just think they're bsing me no matter how much people tell me I'm handsome I still feel ugly for some reason . I don't know what to do ? Does anyone else feel this way ?

And if you don't know someone like that in person, you probably know a famous person like that. So you realize how insignificant you are compared to others, and just suffer drowning in self pity, which eventually turns to shame.

Being shy is natural for most humans. The low self esteem nature comes from many reasons maybe, I myself have self esteem issues, and to be honest, I haven't found a way of fixing things well enough. I would if I were you though, talk to someone about it. Friends usually help you with those issues, raising your confidence and boosting your moral.

And don't feel like you are alone is the most important things. Many people are like you, and there is no problem with being like that. Just as I said before, help is everywhere so don't be shy to ask.

If you are self aware enough to identify your reactions, are you also able to identify the thoughts you are having when you have those reactions? Meaning, what words are you telling yourself that are undermining your confidence! All of us have an inner monologue, but some of us have helpful ones.
