Naruto/Konan just remove the Rinnegan from Nagato? Hell, why did Nagato not even offer it to someone else?

I find this a funny little plothole that they buried a guy with the strongest eyes in the NV (Until War arc BS) and they were just like "okay". It will be safe, no one will find his body (Kabuto sneers).

I don't care what anyone says. Nagato and Konan literally said to Naruto they were putting their full trust in him. Logically, Naruto should have inherited those Rin'negan. But it was all plot. Madara's role in the manga was in Kishimoto's mind already so those eyes had to find their way back to him at some point.

Agreed. The story would have been much more interesting if Naruto took the Rinnegan and tried to follow the Rikudou's path like he was foreshadowed to do.

Right XD. It would have been even cooler to see Naruto understand the Kyuubi during the Pain Arc (while training for SM). After he defeated Nagato, and the Tnj shit. It would have been a twist for Naruto to tell Nagato that he wants Kurama removed so that the Tailed Beast can live free, without being held down like an animal caged in the Zoo. Which in turn it happens, but Nagato begins to revive everyone soon after with Naruto coming back to life Bijuu-less, and he offers the Rinnegan as a gift to Naruto. Something on those lines

Point is as we have seen in Naruto's Sage mode training. The Kyuubi never let anything outside of Naruto's body parts to be attached to him. I don't see why he would let such powerful eyes be implemented in Naruto? Specially those of the character he fears the most.
