Why didn't Obito use Izangai?

so instead of this man dying you'd rather him prolong his life ? It'd be a waste of panel space tbh. He died a death that was bound yo happen. He had nothing to live for now and he accepted death. Him dying was probably more contributing then him using Izanagi with no chakra

Obito could have used Izangai to survive and have Naruto heal the eye. Thus their chances at winning improves. His death was idiotic, IMO.

He probably didnt have the chakra anymore to use it.
Besides, it seems he wanted to die a sacrafice, standing in front of the others (happened both figuratively and literally).
It sure made Naruto go hyperspeedmode, seeing Obito die and Black Zetsu badmouthing Obito after his speech to Naruto.

Kishi could have went with this theory letting Naruto heal his eye. Thus giving him new eyes that access sharingan since he is uchiha and senju dna, kishi could have even created a eternal mangekyo awakening story for obito.

Naruto said when Kakashi lost his eye that he "took a part of Kakashi-sensei and" and used to recreate a new eye using his dna.

But he did want to die and his death would be the catalyst for Naruto to fully embrace his full power. Bijuu Avatar!!! Obito wanted to die for Naruto. Now its time for Naruto and Sasuke to get serious. Expecting a load of action in these next chapters.
