Why didn't obito use his kamui the same way as kakashi?

Obito and kakashi are both able to use the kamui in the same exact way.

at first it seemed that obitos eye was only able to transport himself and anyone he was in contact with. Making it imperative for him to touch someone in combat in order to transport them to the other dimension. (as we see when he fights minato, saves sasuke, tries to make physical contact with naruto/konan and anyone else he wished to teleport with.)

But as we see on chapter 595, pages 12-13, he can obviously use it outside of his body, when he cancels out kakashi's attempt to kamui the head of the gedo statue.

Kakashi is also able to use obito's way of using kamui, as seen when kakashi teleports himself back to the real world from the kamui dimension.

So since obito was able to do the same thing kakashi was, the question at hand is: Why didn't he use this tech in the first place?

He could have captured anyone he wanted. he could have captured all the the jinchurikis by himself with no help. find them, kamui their whole body into the dimension. wear them out in that dimension by starvation or fighting or w/e, then extract. do them one by one if he had to.

Instead he goes through a ridiculous amount of effort to get them. So unecessary.

Even Kotoamatsukami is different in both eyes. One (Itachi's) can only use 1 definite command "Protect Konoha" was only 1 command.
(Danzo's) allowed him to enter Mifune's mind and control him like Mind Transfer sort of. What could the command Danzo gave Mifune ? Mifune took multiple actions while under KA influence. He not only said that Danzo should be the Leader , but he also critiqued each village and its leaders and actions. Those were multiple different actions from while under KA influence. For Mifune to say all he said and did while under KA that would've taken multiple commands if it was shot once like (Itachi's) KA , but maybe Danzo actually didn't cast it and watch.... maybe he cast it and controlled then released him so he while AO discovered what was happening.

No Kakashi doesn't. Kakashi has never phased or teleported himself into Kamui. He only teleported out .
Its different to teleport inside a dimension than to teleport out of one.

I look at it like Sasuke's Amateratsu & Enton. Sasuke can cast Amateratsu with L EYE , but deplete & morph it with R EYE.
Obito can R EYE take Kakashi to Kamui , but Kakashi can L EYE cancel it.

he can just sneak in the village and kamui while they sleep if he has to. why would he be fighting people at the same time he has people in the kamui dimension? you make it sound like has to fight someone while he is retaining someone there. besides, he can own jinchurikis easy. especially with rinnegan and not to mention his senju cells he has. plus kamui. so he could own multiple jinchurikis at once.

Sorry, but Obito got Torune and Forune or whatever they were called, inside Kamui, while he phased during fights, and they didn't do shit to him XD.

he could've also stopped it by the remote control of his other (kakashi's eyes).. he materialized and stopped kakashi's kamui..

a) Obito didn't have the chakra needed to transport bijuus to that dimension (Kakashi had Kyuubi's buff)
b) The eyes are connected. There are a lot of possible interpretations for the scheme about Obito canceling Kakashi's Kamui. One of these would be using a distance-kamui (as Kakashi does), another one would be using the connection between the eyes to cancel the technique via proxy.

Anyways... Obito couldn't use this against Bijuu because he would need huge amounts of chakra to do so.

Obito cannot keep people in the kamui dimension because when he goes intagible, they would be able to attack him from the other side. So, obito has to decide what is more important- offense ( teleport them to kamui) or defense ( intagible)- obito cannot do both because he would become vulnerable.

Obviously it doesn't work like that, its manga fact that Kakashi's one is long range and Obito's is close. The way these circumstances occurred are because of different reasons.

This and Kakashi can send himself by looking to somewhere on his own body since he can send things long-rage.

i think that Kakashi was sending it to the other dimension, but Obito was using it to pull it out at the same time he was reversing the kamui effect he was making the gedo mazo intangible while it was in the Kamui world and when youre intangible in the kamui world that is when you are in the normal realm. that was my understanding and then the two just canceled out
