Because naruto doesn't think well when sasuke he is arround. He is doing way worse than before sasuke's arrival, the only thing he is doing is yelling "SASUKE". I don't know why kishi does this to naruto.

This is why Atimes I wonder if kishi has forgotten about naruto's abilities.he always what to creat room for other ninjas to showcase themselves but really he is overdoing it...

the same reason naruto used chakra arms to save minato and sasuke, kishi is giving something to do to every character even though its not necessary

Naruto has his clusterf*** head on at the moment. Thinking too much. He needs to think less and run in swinging, that's how he solves his problems, for better or worst. He's got Minato and Sasuke being like 'mehmehmeh think about this think about that' and it overloads his, unfortunately, dumbsh** brain.
We cannot know what is at this point in time unknowable...

Maybe the attack happened too quickly? Maybe he was caught off guard? Maybe he was going to, but Sasuke's Susanoo got in the way?
It's obvious he's in love.

Seriously though, Naruto may be faster than Sasuke, but his reaction time is slower.
Naruto doesn't have the Sharingan like Sasuke, so it's natural that this would've happened.
Even if Naruto saw it, he was in midair. He would have to use a Kage Bunshin or extend a chakra arm. It takes time to do it...
But basically, it's like this:
Naruto saved Sasuke two chapters ago...
Sasuke saved Naruto...
It's fair.
But Naruto needs to stop saying "Sasuke", it's annoying.
Why would Kishi make a panel just to make Naruto say "Sasuke"?

The sharingan does make a difference. Also, for a while now Naruto has been the one saving the shinobi army from Obito, it is just Sasuke's turn to do something.
Anyhow, it was nice to see Sasuke save Naruto, very pre skip like.

At the moment He was concern with Sasuke betrayal. Sasuke was about to end Naruto existence but the Juubi stop Him.
