One night when I went to bed when I was 10 or so, I saw the Sasuke vs Orochimaru battle in the Forest of Death, and I got fired up and started to watch the anime and read the manga.

Came across it in a Shonen Jump issue. It was the chuunin exams, and Sakura and Sasuke's character development for the couple of chapters I skimmed impressed me. I also liked how supporting characters like Rock Lee and Neji were extremely relevant, so when they did appear it had an authentic/real feel to it. Part 1 Naruto also was extremely like-able so I just got hooked.

Seriously though, go reread the Chuunin Exam arc. Character development and interaction was amazing in that arc, nearly all of the cast is relevant and contributes to the events in a strong way.

Who/what made you start reading naruto? Just curious. Myself, it was my brother talking about how itachi killing his family and saving sasuke. That was like a few years ago. I'm interested on how the NB community got started.
