Why did you start reading naruto?

Who/what made you start reading naruto? Just curious. Myself, it was my brother talking about how itachi killing his family and saving sasuke. That was like a few years ago. I'm interested on how the NB community got started.

My little brother watched it, and I didn't like it right away. Then one day he was watching the Rock Lee vs. Gaara fight, and after that I started watching/reading Naruto.

haha nice xd but I started because of toonami in 2005 when I was 10 (action filled and was one of the good cartoons like avatar going on)

I caught up with the anime, and didn't feel like waiting.

Because, I thought the aime had ended. When I found out it was still ongoing, I had to catch up.

Watched the first episode when it first aired in america. Have been hooked since then. It led me into catching up in Japanese when i got tired of waiting weekly for new episodes and found them all on youtube. After awhile of watching them in japanese, i still wanted more content, so i started reading right after the pain arc.

Basically the same thing happened for me with One Piece, but i waited about 5 years to go back and rewatched every episode, and watched every episode from 1 to the last episode before the time skip, so about 500 in under a month
