Am I the only person this did not make sense to? The Bijuu's are a mass of chakra in animal form. The fact that they have a baby form implies that A- they have parents B- they can die of old age C- They develop as time goes of implying they get stronger.

In my mind they should have just always been adult forms of animals. They will always be the same size mass of chakra and will always exsist unless destroyed. They were created by the So6P when he separated the 10 tails and gave him their forms. He would have no reason to give them forms of children. It just doesn't make sense from my perspective.

I am not the only person who thinks its strange am I?

EDIT: I would like to add that it feels like it is suppose to be a form of fan service. Some people just want to see cute bijuus if it makes sense or not

If it weren't puppy forms, people ask why aren't they old now. If they're puppy forms, but they can't age. Always something with you guys.
They can spit water, fire and wind etc. that makes sense, but this doesn't ? -.-

I agree with you it's ridiculous, however they do have parents and S06P is the father while the juubi is the mother ;)

They all came from the juubi vag via the SO6P.

But it implies the were born and that they have parents.

If they are just massive balls of chakra why do they develop and not just exsist in their forms? (rhetorical question)
yes they were made as kids so they could grow attached to the sage of the six paths so he could teach them IMO

p.s. it could be that their made as kids and they grow until they reach there peak then they stop

if i may add sometin u fail to understandU_U,ur thinking of the tails in based on tobi's story who is not the so6p,as it has been shown the so6p made them in baby form,it is him that u should wait for & believe what he tells us about the tails...Tobi's story about how the tails came to be is far from the truth U_U,so when u stop thinking about what tobi said then u will get itU_U

They could not be adult (or what they is now) from the beginning, otherwise it will deny for them opportunity to change. And as any creature it should develop. So they can't die of age of cause. But they just grown and from pure creatures become monsters. So the SO6P had fail to protect World. As he fight against hatred and so on.
I think they was shown childlike to show that they was not Monsters for ever. They just become like this. And they can become peaceful one. XD.

So funny how characters in this show can control elements, transform, fly, teleport, form large warriors around themselves, control gravity, have giant tailed animals sealed within themselves and use their power, carry weapons in freakin' paper scrolls, summon various creatures, be immortal, create forests, be intangible, create clones, form chakra balls in their hands, jump 100 meters in the air, runs as fast as hell, control life and death, create a mother****ing moon and people still discuss about aging thing or something trivial like that.

Unless there's some deeper meaning that Kishi is hinting at, I'd say it's just fanservice/needing to make Kurama look young for the sake of the flashback. That scene might have seemed a bit confusing if Kurama (and the other Biju) looked identical to their current forms. Also it sort of helps give an idea on how long ago that was, when you think about it.

Then again, the fact that Kishi decided to reveal the name of the Biju while simultaneously revealing that they have in fact aged, might hold some significance.
