I mean he attacked konoha to get the Uchiha under suspicion right? so why did he have to wait 8 years after the attack to eradicate the Uchiha? The obito who slaughtered those mist nin could have easily took them on? :shrug:

He didnt attack to get Uchiha under suspension, that was just a side effect that happened due to his doing.
He had a grudge on Uchiha and would of killed them too

He did not simply wait, he was always on the move for the moon plan, especially focusing on the rinnegan to their side first then akatsuki, etc.

It's chess. He controlled the mist out of some spite for Rin's Death. Then got back to Madara's plan with Nagato. Then formed Akatsuki. Finally he got around to his clan once the 9 tails attack failed. Madara's plan was prob to wipe the entire village out, but he failed so he went about it a different way. Obito has shown he takes detours from Madara's plans so it's possible

i think its to put everyone off guard. as the person who everyone believed that controlled the kyuubi to attack the village was meant to be madara. but after 8 years people would've thought he was dead and

Massacring the Uchiha wasn't his first intention. He was sneaking in and out to look at the Uchiha tablet, which is why he bumped into Itachi and made the pact so he would help out.

+ rep he was the leader of the mist as well at this point in time.The majority of those who became akatskui members grew up in during third shinobi world war.Also he had to manipulate nagato.He probably would of taken nagato with him to kill the uchiha but itachi came along and helped in exchange for leaving konoha alone.Then once again obito had to wait this time it was for itachi to die.If not he could of been a really nasty thorn in the side then he already was
