Why did Obito give Sasuke Itachi's eyes?

They would better suit Saskue and evolve from being inside of Saskue's body. If Obito would kept them Saskue eyes could have possibly surpassed his own, and rendered Itachi's eye useless. And he would have stronger eyes ( to take) if he gave them to Saskue ( who would evolve them into the EMS). And besides he can spam Kami.

Those eyes are too worn out. If Itachi was still alive he would benefit from them and gain EMS, but everyone else would simply have blurred vision and one heck of a headache.

Obviously you all didn't think very hard about this. You can only gain EMS by taking the MS of a direct relative, Obito would not have gained anything from them, which is why he gave them to Sasuke, who he thought he could control and use as a pawn.

Sasuke has his Amaterasu, Itachi has his Genjutsu and Madara has his Susano'o. The three make up the best combo of MS techniques quite nicely, don't you agree?

Exactly. Sasuke was a good ally to Obito at the time, and he knew if Sasuke didn't get what he wanted (Itachi's eyes), he would've lost a great asset (though, he didn't know Sasuke had the mental capacity of a 13 year old girl..)

Plus, Obito has Kamui.. which is the most hax Mangekyo tech.

Obito is arrogant and assumes people will remain loyal to him. he was shocked when Konan betrayed him. He assumed Sasuke would remain loyal to him. He saw Sasuke as a tool and gave him EMS so he would be a better tool
