Why did Naruto never use Wind element apart from Rasenshuriken?

Jiraya said that rasengan was the perfect jutsu because he didn't have to learn any annoying hand signs or be smart.

The only hand sign Naruto uses in the whole series is the crossed fingers for the shadow clones.
