Why did Kisame think Obito was Madara

Well everyone thought madara was dead so Obito had been passing him self off as Madara since before he attacked the leaf.remember when the manga went into kisame past he thought Madara was controling the fourth mizukage it really was Obito

I think that was just a mistranslation, or very sloppy typo. He wouldn't call him Tobi, then act all surpised when he reveals himself to be Tobi. Doesn't make sense.

I believe Kisame knew that Tobi was not Madara but recognized he was using his name. And of course if he's loyal he won't spill the beans that's why when they had gotten to the part where tobis face would've been revealed by his memory his will broke the jutsu. Kisame is not a dumbass and I respect him as a character in the series. One of Kishis best character storylines. If you remember when Tobi took off his mask Kisame replied oh it's you.

Amazing how Aoba almost saw Tobi's face until Kisame bit his tongue off. And Aoba would have known straight away that it was Obito as they were both in the same age group.

Im guessing because kisame knew that Madara uchiha had been through many wars, so when obito took off his mask he saw that half his face was scarred so he assumed it was madara

He either didn't know how Madara looked and assumed it was him b/c Obito was damn strong or he knew it wasn't Madara and played along.
