because kabuto is a sneaaky person he knew that if madara was to succeed in his moon eye operation. he would have no use for kabuto and try to kill him. so why not have sage level chakra as a trump card. my guess atleast.

Kabuto is damn confusing- He meets Naruto and claims he is going to find his own path independentally. Then he is somehow after Sasuke and working for Madara at present.

DUDE I KNOW, i think this is the single most confusing moment in all of Naruto.

I'm also fairly certain that Itachi's gift to Naruto was a technique like Minato's, I was certain...until now...I may be overthinking this

I agree, but does Kabuto even know what he's doing with resurrecting Itachi? He can't possibly know the truth behind Itachi, and how much that now effects Sasuke...

What do you mean why? wouldn't you want a resurrected Itachi fighting in your corner i mean come on he is one of the deadliest characters in the show/manga there could be another reason why he resurrected itachi though which is what i hope you were talking about and i think maybe did so to make sasuke come to him since he has a grudge and all.

I think it's actually so he can get back at Madara. Itachi now has the opportunity to tell Sasuke the truth himself, and point out that Madara is using him :O

Yeah, he's a good combat asset...but there are complications
