Why did Hashirama and Madara ever fight

I always wondered why Hashirama and Madara ever fought in the first place with the last manga I have a feeling that it was either the brothers fault or the fathers

They'll probably end up fighting because Madara will blame the Senju or Hashirama specifically for Izuna losing his eyes is my guess. That and they both become the heads of their clan which are being hired to fight so it's their job.

hmm iits hard to say considering they seemed like pretty good friends my guess would be it had something to do with izuna dieing and a difference in opinion at some point

as for there fights before they made the alliance then its obvious they were bound to fight since the 2 clans were rivals

I think it was fate that they were suppose to meet and fight, and it seems like the events that happened then are going to repeat itself again with Naruto and Sasuke.

I think Hashirama will cause Madara to gain the MS, IDK maybe accidentally Madara's brother take a death blow from harishima's dad, thus him eventually loosing his eyesight and this leads to his brother being "sacrificed" which in turn causes him to become the clan leader and causing his intense hatred for Senju.

Heck then if he got idk Ameratsu he could just kill Hari's dad and This could be where Toberma would get his hatred for the uchia .

I don't know it could be because of Izuna's death or the fathers resistance to harmonize the clans which the senju apparently did with the Eddy clan and the Uchiha with the Hagoromo. it could have maybe even been love know that I write more

according to tobi, they fought because madara thought that if hashirama was in charge it would cause harm to the uchiha clan. his battle was to overthrow hashirama

we will hear hashirama's side of the story in a few weeks

Your poll is incomplete. As I said before They end up fighting because they are each hired by opposing forces. The only reason they were fighting was because they were paid/ordered to.
