why count edo tensei when doing rankings?

I always wondered why you people count Edo tensei when doing the overall rankings..

If your doing overall rankings, everyone in Naruto verse has to be alive.. and if they are all alive there can't be no edos of Kabuto and Oro and Tobirama. Which leaves Edo tensei useless.

Is it that you people don't think this far? or you just ignore it?

Nope....they are a dead body being controlled. If anything it adds to the user's power (Kabuto).

Edo Madara, while he may have control over himself, wouldn't be capable of all that he is were it not for someone bringing him back as well as modifying his Edo summon so that he wasn't a decrepit old man.

And all the people have to be "alive" at the same time to be in a ranking.. meaning they can't be considered dead.

No i meant that if you have a top 10 ranking list.. and you put Madara as number 2.. and put Kabuto as number 1 because of Edo army.. then it makes no sense....

And exactly i agree. And especially the times where Gamabunta said he required 100 dead souls if Oro wanted his help. X_X. People can't tell the difference between power and arsenal.

Then the 3rd Raikage and muu and Kazekage and etc cannot be on the list.. since they are Kabuto's tools. Hashirama can't be on the list because he is Orochimaru's tool.

Edo tensei is the ONLY summoning where the user is in complete control... should toads and snakes not count then?

Well here's the suggestion.
A shinobi is counted or ranked by the jutsu he got.and edo tensei is a jutsu.it's not summonian jutsu having distinctive emotions and feelings,it dont care about emotions and feelings but act as same what the users wants... So it is counted while doing rankings.

Summoning an edo is the same as calling your team for backup which, judging by the hate towards sasuke for the Killer Bee fight, people do not respect on the battlefield. I don't see how edo tensei is any different.

Summoning an Edo is like a Summon or Pet its completely different from a Team, You do not Control the team and the team are not part of your arsenal unlike the Edos I honestly don't see how Sasori controlling Dead bodies counts towards his power but when Kabuto does the exact same thing doesnt

A pet? Really? For all intents and purposes it's summoning a living, breathing, conscious person, which in any situation other than edo tensei apparently, every member here would discount in 1v1 battles.
