Why compare a main character to a secondary character?

Most main characters are shit compared to secondary characters. IMO, Itachi and Sasuke are better characters than Naruto, Vegeta is a better character than Goku, Killua is a better character than Gon, et cetera, et cetera.

I agree with part of this its a matter of opinion Itachi is the best character imo but Gon> Killua i can't be the only one that finds Killia boring Naruto > Sasuke Sasuke isn't boring but I prefer Naruto character anyday Goku > Vegeta vegeta character is too predictable and too serious he's not boring doe but not once have I ever seen a boring Main character as far as anime/ Manga

Shonen manga like use what I call the "goku" archetype for a lot of main characters.

• Enjoys eating, and enjoys eating a LOT.
• Heal his wounds simply by eating food.
• Kuririn (Best friend/Mentor) dies.
• Always shout out attack names before/while performing them.
• Almost always, there is a character who starts out an adversary, but ends up a powerful ally later on. "Vegeta" syndrome, so to speak.
• Wins 90% of the time. If they lose, they come back and win in the second or third rounds, etc.
• Cannot die, no matter how powerful a final attack is used on them. They will always come back. Count on it.

Now, not every main character follows this archetype to a "T", but the similarities between certain characters is blatant. This is not to say that a main character that follows this archetype can't be a good character or interesting, it just makes it harder for that MC to stand out compared to others. I personally fatigued by this archetype, but everyone has their tastes and opinions.
