If anybody here REALLY thinks that he/she shouldn't spell right just because he/she is not in an academic institution of any sort, i feel extremely sad for them. Where have all manners, sense of education and self respect has gone to?

That's your choice not everyone else. The internet has always been like and won't change. You're just letting it go in your head so badly it's seeming pathetic. You think that's the only reason for bad grammar or spelling errors.

I've seen many threads in where people confuse "as" with "ass" or "too" with "to" , I don't understand this. Didn't people go to school? Don't they realize their grammar is horrid?
you're free to comment with whatever you want, I can honestly care less, this is just a random thought.

Though I can agree that there are plenty of horrid English speakers on this forum, you can't always blame their level of comprehension of the language on their quality of education/level of intelligence. Do know that there are members of this forum who are not native English speakers.
Also, before you insult other members because of their inferior language comprehension, you may want to brush up on your relative pronouns.
Also, you're confusing spelling and grammar. Your example of the way you have seen people spelling the conjunction "as" is an example of a spelling error, where as your example of the way you have seen people using the preposition or infinitive "to" and adverb "too" incorrectly is an example of grammatical error.

Edit: Urgh. I suppose I should have written this faster. Now it has been buried among the posts of faster responders.

I don't understand why someone would put a question like this in the general roleplay section??? Just a random thought. xd

Also, Volcmike, speaking of proper grammar and spelling, in the top right corner of your post, your status if you will, do you "feels mellow" or "fells mellow"??? I don't know you tell me??? You might want to go change that now after this thread. xd Just f'ing with you bro! You're free to express anything you want! :D Hopefully next time it will be in the proper section.;)

1. Don't label me. You don't know me.

2. Don't lecture me. You asked my opinion.

3. It's society and not everyone on the internet speaks English as a primary language.

4. It's not my job to correct people, and if I chose to do it, every post made by almost every person could be critiqued as being improper.

6. This isn't a formal setting and there aren't any rules concerning how people should type. Granted, it's difficult to understand sometimes, but I'm not going to spell check everyone, especially when 99% of the time they respond with hostility and won't change.

7. I skipped 5 to point out that I suck at math and I guarantee there are a ton of math wizards who cringe every time I write out a problem/formula. My mind doesn't connect the dots all the time so to speak.

1. Im not labeling you. It was a question.

2. I din't ask for your personal opinion, and i quote "you're free to comment with whatever you want"

3. The only reason why I'm replying to this is so i don't insult you by leaving you answer-less.
I am not mad, nor i want you to take this personal. It was a generic question in which anyone and everyone is free to either comment, agree or disregard as they please. Another thing, skipping the "number five" doesn't prove anything. This is not an arithmetic's course.

Holy mother of Derp. Erm... You seem to be unfamiliar with the use of auxiliary verbs and the present-perfect tense. x_x

It would appear that he has become aware of how much of a hypocrite he was being and decided to leave the thread in shame, rather than deciding to further ruin his image by attempting to defend his errors. He didn't really have a choice. o_o He had already denounced the validity of any reason he could have used for explaining his own errors.

uh Gin its people and dont and u say ppl dont know how too spellU_U

Whut? O__O

I never critize anyone's grammar and spelling,
I am not perfect in the english language, not even a mile close to it
But I try my best to make English understandable
English is not my Native language, so I work hard to write everything as perfectly as I can, without Google translate ;)

I mean, if you can understand pop's grammar and spelling,
you are good to go xd

Well I agree with you to some extent. Part of the problem is that many of us do are not from English speaking countries. And do not type that much either except when we are on forums etc.

So sometimes many of the grammar mistakes are just typos and lack of practice- at least in my case and because we do not know the langauge that well to start with.

You may not realise it but it's not that easy to use and understand all kind of uses of an alien language- their phrases/slangs/modern usages/changin meanings/different spellings and usage in different countries for example is USA and England etc.

Incorrect use of grammar by native speakers also confuses rest of us.
