Why can't people spell?!

I've seen many threads in where people confuse "as" with "ass" or "too" with "to" , I don't understand this. Didn't people go to school? Don't they realize their grammar is horrid?

Because it's the internet and not school. They are not forced to spell correctly or some can't see right. If spelling annoys you that badly then turn off your computer and back away from it. Being in a rush doesn't help either and is a nice cause of spelling errors. There is people in some cases that there first language isn't english causing spelling errors too. :|

I check my errors before posting. Sometimes when I don't look up at the screen I tend to misspell words. NB needs a spell checker.

It's because this is internet. peeple not always speak wun language. some peeple are also yung and can't spell so good or skool dont emphasise spellin 2 gud.

I don't mind it. Some people are lazy as well, but some just plain aren't that good at it. The English language can be quite complex.

If anybody here REALLY thinks that he/she shouldn't spell right just because he/she is not in an academic institution of any sort, i feel extremely sad for them. Where have all manners, sense of education and self respect has gone to?

1. Don't label me. You don't know me.

2. Don't lecture me. You asked my opinion.

3. It's society and not everyone on the internet speaks English as a primary language.

4. It's not my job to correct people, and if I chose to do it, every post made by almost every person could be critiqued as being improper.

6. This isn't a formal setting and there aren't any rules concerning how people should type. Granted, it's difficult to understand sometimes, but I'm not going to spell check everyone, especially when 99% of the time they respond with hostility and won't change.

7. I skipped 5 to point out that I suck at math and I guarantee there are a ton of math wizards who cringe every time I write out a problem/formula. My mind doesn't connect the dots all the time so to speak.

Keep in mind that some people don't speak or know english... they use online translators and those things always mess up. So just take a chill pill and relax... less complaining like a little girl and more enjoying like a man!!
