I see what you mean. And they probably don't fight but I am sure some probably tagged along to provide food, maybe even a blacksmith came to keep making weapons. Or they make it back at the camp but summon everything there. IDK good question though.

..well I mean you don't have to go ta an academy to learn one..and still why not go to a ninja academy and be not a ninja?..is it like going to elementary school or high school?..you don't see any other school in konoha?..
