[Discussion] Why are people compairing op with naruto

:flaw: so your telling me that op has a better plot then naruto okay lets talk about each's plots now op's main plot is to find some thresure while naruto's plot go's deeper then just wanting to become an hokage the main plot of naruto is that when he was young he was looked at like he was an outsider like he didn't have a home to come back to.People treating him bad,talking about him,ignoring him,etc he's intentions is to become hokage not just to be the leader,but to be respected as an elite ninja and powerful ninja,and that takes alot of work lots of work all op wants to do is find a threasure that hasen't fond in 13 seasons so u tell me how that is better then narutos

Must be something big that people are still looking for it ...btw i just watched a few episodes of op, but kind of booooring at least for me...

I doubt I could ever personally like One Piece better than Naruto or DBZ (mostly DBZ for the nostalgia). I like characters who are mostly serious rather than mostly goofy.

I like One Piece, but most of the characters are overly goofy or perverted (I mean seriously Sanji needed a blood tranfusion because he kept bleeding from his nose when he saw pretty girls and mermaids, Brooks is always asking if he can see someones panties...). For the exception of Zoro, Mihawk, Akainu, Rayleigh, and a few other characters they all can be incredibly goofy and are more goofy than serious. I'd like to see more of Trafalgar Law and The Kidd Pirates they seemed intense and serious.

One Piece has a better plot, he actually has goals hard to get, unlike naruto who wants to be hokage and is at SAGE lvl U_U. But luffy wants to be Pirate King a goal not anyone can achive.

And Luffy isnt OP, he has gotten beaten by enemies he cant win against, unlike naruot that uses his stupid will power and talk-no-jutsu to win every battle.

And OP characters are better than naruto,s + we get to see more of each characters past.

I like OP but its not better than Naruto, It has useless arcs the story progression sucks at times. I know everybody is entitled to there opinino but I think its harder to be hokage, not to mention that Naruto wants to be the greatest hokage, not just hokage. Luffy's goal has been done before as well, and all u need to be King of the Pirates is One Piece. To be hokage u not only have to be the strongest in your village if not, the strongest, but u also have to gain everybody's respect and people have to vote for u.

You know people. A few months ago, Gildarts here used to say things like "I hate OP" ,"OP looks childish and dumb", "I don't like the Pirate thing", "Fruit powers sound dumb", and my favorite "I don't like the art style". He also said he would never watch it.

Look at him now. He says its better than Naruto now and he even has a Sanji avatar and sig. He used what I call "common sense" and decided to "really" watch the show to see why OP fans boast about it so much.
Meaning most of us OP fans(including me) said the same exact thing at first because we couldn't believe that there would be an anime better than Naruto.

Hell, I even said "I would never watch a show called Fairy Tail, because I don't want to watch a show about Fairies." I then watched the first few episodes and thought "This is lame, Mages and magic crap, I don't wanna watch this." Then I stopped. Then I noticed a lot of people liked it, so it has to be somewhat decent.
Now I'm on episode 53 and loving it (more than Bleach)
To summarize everything, "Don't judge a book by its cover."

OP being compared with Naruto? Other way around.
Naruto fanboys are too scared to want anything to be better than Naruto therefore try their best to degrade a series they have no clue about just out of pure ignorance.

Useless arcs? Name some please. The only anime here with useless arcs is Naruto, those are called filler arcs.

Because they are, with Bleach, the most popular mangas here, and people intend to compare the things that are on top (to see which one's better, do they "deserve" to be among the most popular, etc.)...
