Why all Vs threads and jutsu comparisons between shinobis are meaningless!

Yes we all know this, it will never be 100% possible buts what is wrong with speculating? People enjoy it so don't call it pointless, do you know whats pointless? This thread. And talking about the meaning of the manga.

Think about it, if someone were to do a Gai vs Kisame, Minato vs Tobi thread or a Sasuke vs Orochimaru or Deidara. would the outcome be the same as it is in reality, meaning 'the manga'? There are countless factors that determine the results of battles on that level and truthfully we can never know them unless they are shown to us. Who could have known about Hirudora, before Gai vs Kisame happened, or Kisame's power to create water and morph into an actual shark among other things giving himself an unbelieveable advantage. The answer is no one. Only Kishi has a mind as the creator to wrap his brain around such things. We do not, thats why all outcomes or arguments in vs threads will never even come close to acutality. Im sorry if I just burst your bubble, but that is the undeniable truth!

its not pointless when doin a vs battle to only use justu shown you can determine who would win a fight later when the chacter expands and show newer thing people can change there minds about the outcome about the battle :sy:

I'm sure everybody knew that fact long ago, but this is a forum where people discuss, or try to determine, possible outcomes of all things Naruto.People try to use the feats/hype provided by Kishi to try to accurately determine power levels, and in some cases it is very clear (some cases not) e.g. inferiority quotes or a shinobi with overwhelming powers taking on fodders.

Yes, pointless to some degree. As I said earlier, it's fun to debate who would win but it is up to Kishi after all, so in that sense it is pointless

i know there are some people who debate logically but almost all vs threads turn into fans vs fans. That what makes it pointless at the end.

Sometimes debating is pointless, when people try to debate against manga facts it gets really annoying, ex. Itachi > Nagato. The only time I've ever tried to question a manga fact is the Hiruzen is the strongest Hokage thing, because that was really early in the series and he isn't very relevant anymore when all the powerful people appear.

These^^ No one ever said speculating is pointless or meaningless...I find it quite funny people saying that it gives people a chance to debate and discuss when 99% of all vs threads are just threads with a fanboy/girl agenda.

What I mean is it's all in the presentation... for ex; Minato vs Itachi thread is started by a Minato fan and only lists reasons for why Minato would win. the thread is pointless if you can't list reasons for why Itachi could win and let the debate go from there but that doesn't happen.

But what does happen is an Itachi fan reads the first 2 pages of said thread decides he/she doesn't like where it's going and start an Itachi vs Minato thread and input their own fanboy/girl agenda that's what makes it meaningless the thread already exists only difference is the outcome and fan fervor....imo....:shrug:
