Boruto, Sarada, Mitsuki, Shinki, and Shikidai are my favorites.

No particular order. I like Bolt a bit more than my other next generaton favorites, only because of his abilities, talent, and end goal. Plus, he's got a sick design in the making when fixed right.

But I don't like any character than the other when it comes to "depth" - As that doesn't exist for any next generation kid. The only thing you have going for these characters is likability, which clearly Sarada won the game there in contrast to her former team mate, Bolt. But again, it all goes to perspective.

Bolt's development in the Movie really hit the nail in making him a unique character on his own. You either like him or you don't. I don't really see how people can complain much about his attitude when the Movie made clear explanations to his resentment of his father, plus, it added a whole new level of redeeming qualities that the epilogue and Gaiden didn't have in the short appearances he came onto.

Ah. Yeah I really don't care much for Sarada - though she is already a better character than Sakura. But Boruto I don't necessarily understand the hate. Sure, when we were first introduced to Boruto [as in, in the Gaiden] he could have come off bratty. But to be fair, he was no more bratty than Naruto was at his age.

But in the movie, we were shown why Boruto was so bratty. Very similar to Naruto, he was acting out for attention, however in his case he wanted not the villages attention; he wanted his dads attention. Boruto was shown to be neglected by his father, and desperately in need of discipline and guidance. He felt cheated out of a father by having Naruto as the Hokage - and because of that he opted for the easier paths in life. Relying on the ninja tool to artificially enhance his Jutsu in the Chuunin Exams instead of devoting the time and effort into his own craft. But he had a complete character arc once he bonded with his father [and to a degree, Sasuke] and is no longer the bratty kid most people here have an issue with.

i cant just excuse how bad a child he was towards his dad because he got a little development. i understand why he did all of that it just showed his character in a bad light which isnt immediately redeemed because he wised up/saved the day. especially since I wanted someone to knock him out which never happened . . . .guess i'll have to wait for the manga to see if my dream comes true

there are other things like him have 3 natures and still only using rasengan and shadow clones and I have a bad feeling ist going to stay like that in the new manga

Boruto may have made the claim that he could use 3 chakra natures, but I would still argue that he was just bluffing for the sake of getting his dad's attention. Never has it ever been shown that Boruto knows any type of chakra nature outside of wind [with his rasengan]. In fact the only time he ever used jutsu besides the Rasengan and shadow clones was when he used the Ninja Tool

That would imply that he also lied he could make the shadow clone jutsu without training. Don't understand how people dismiss the connection with the elemental natures AND the shadow clone jutsu. Especially when he was bragging about both.

But I'll take what he says into consideration considering he hasn't lied before, at least verbally. Plus, he has enough talent to back his claims, that being an elemental nature Rasengan.

Edit: I just realized how funny your post was because there was no claim of Bolt having put wind release in the Rasengan. It just means he applied one of the three he put into the Rasengan, which Bolt stated earlier, he also had Fuuton.

I think its a little more complicated than that though. True, while he backed up his claim on the shadow clones, if you were to look deeper into that Boruto himself was still dismally disappointed in his own abilities [in regards to the shadow clone jutsu]. He talked big about his shadow clone abilities, yet his limit was four in the end [which again, he admitted to himself to be disappointing]. I think you can take that and infer that he bluffs to seem like he can do a lot more than he can - again, with the goal of impressing his father. I mean Boruto only agreed to participate in the Chuunin Exams to begin with in the promise that his father would be watching his progress.

I won't dismiss the possibility that Boruto can actually use three chakra natures, but I simply stand to make a better argument that he cannot - or at the very least cannot apply his chakra natures to combat, as the argument that he can use three chakra natures have virtually no backings whatsoever.

As for the rasengan, forgive me as I may be misreading your last paragraph - but there was an actual claim that Boruto had applied wind nature to his Rasengan. When Boruto showed Sasuke his tiny Rasengan and stormed off, Sasuke referenced this later on in the movies and explicitly said that Boruto [unknowingly] applied a wind change in chakra nature to his Rasengan, resulting in it disappearing temporarily and then striking.

Edit: I re-read your last paragraph again and understand your point now. Again, I'd like to point out one of my reasonings above on how, even if Boruto did posses three chakra natures, I would argue he at the very least does not know how to [intentionally] apply them to combat. Which would, in turn circle back to my claim that Boruto was bluffing about being able to use three chakra natures. He may be able to use them with proper training, but at the time of his claim I would argue he did not know how to use them.

Mitsuki and Sarada seem promising.

Sarada needs to stop punching the ground like her one-dimensional mother and start using the good shit i.e. katon, Genjutsu, Chidori etc.

Himawari, although she'll probably end up being nerfed to the max.
Sarada, hopefully she ditches the worthless Shanaroo jutsu.

> Boruto only talked big about being capable of learning the technique without training, and he stated he could make only three at the time.

> I'm not really sure if there is a point of arguing on that fact because he doesn't have actual techniques with those elemental natures, yet. So yeah.

> No in the Movie it was referenced that Boruto applied Nature Chakra to his Rasengan via Sasuke, but it was never stated to be Wind, outside of the Novel. The only indication is the actual wind forming around the Rasengan. The problem here is that it wasn't directly stated, which could lead to further complications in later works. In example, the Manga could state that he applied Suiton. See what I mean?

Anyway, the whole situation is by far strange. The only reason we knew Boruto had the Fuuton beforehand was because he stated he did in the Hokage's Office. So for better referencing that he does not have the other two elements doesn't make sense, especially when he never intentional wanted to use his elemental nature in combat in any version of the Movie, he soley relied on the device, and his Vanishing Rasengan was made without him really knowing that he was applying such-said element to it. Hence why it he was doing it unconsciously.

To be fair, I'm not really pointing out that he could use them in combat, it wouldn't make sense due to the lack of feats. I'm only pointing out that he has those elemental natures. Which is why Bolt said "I can already use Fuuton, Raiton, and lately Suiton", not "I can already use high leveled versions of Fuuton, Raiton, and Suiton"

:lol

It's been working though, Sakura gave excellent starting techniques. Now just for the seal if they go that route.

Then some katon, raiton and whatever sasuke hopefully teaches her. Then i'll be set. I also want her to get Hawk summoning as her summon.

Anyway once we wrap up our current discussion about the elemental natures.

I pretty much agree with what you are saying in the second paragraph. For the most part, people had a problem with his bratty attitude. Though sometimes I feel as if people confuse disliking a character with discrediting character development. The best part about any upcoming Boruto story is that we finally get to flesh out his personality more, considering the fact that we witnessed Boruto throughout the Movie (and the past projects), be in conflict with himself, and his father. So for the most part we never really got to see a post-developed Boruto fleshed out. Which makes things really interesting for Bolt fan's in general.

That also extends to his abilities, which were mainly overshadowed by the KOTE device. Which means the Bolt we see now will be even stronger than he was before, going on the fact that he no longer relies on such tools.

So ultimately that leaves two incomplete versions of Bolt: His personality, and his abilities.

Imo, my only problem is the fact that Kishimoto isn't writing the series. However, I have hope for the Novel writer for him only, because after reading the Novel (about three times), I noticed that the Novel writer developed his character better than Kishimoto.

As in hyping his abilities more.
Not letting him cheat in every match
And the final battle against Momoshiki, he used the Vanishing Father/Son Rasengan.

It is impossible to judge until the manga actually develops these characters. The only characters that have been developed are Boruto, Sarada, and Chocho.

I am most interested in Yodo.

So far, I am most interested in Mitsuki, since we have even seen ChoCho more than him. He's the most mysterious character on the Kono Team. I am curious to see exactly where he came from, and what kind of relationship he has with Oro. If it's gonna be an Anakin x Luke deal. Or, if Oro is truly on the level and he's actually a decent father. Mitsuki seems to have much respect for him. But then again, so did Kimmimarou, and we saw what happened with that.

Bolt and Sarada are the kids I am least interested in. lol I don't have any problems with them. But I just haven't become too attached yet. All the other gen kids I would rather see above them. But maybe it's because we saw them already. Sarada got her own Gaiden. And Bolt got the film.
