Then what about Haku? Not only did his dad want to kill him, he actually tried unlike Gaara's dad.

Plus Haku had to kill his own dad after his dad killed his mom.

Though personally I think Itachi's story is more sad because he had to kill his friends, girlfriend, father, and mother. And he had to make the one person he cared about most hate him.

That has to be hard.

Gaara's dad put a monster in him making him shunned by the entire village immediately AND tried to kill him. One person ever showed affection for Gaara and that was the person he sent to do the job, that's pretty sick. And even after that Gaara was still an outcast in his own home for years and even after he became Kazekage was still looked down on! At least Haku found happiness with Zabuza not long after his ordeal.

It's gonna be Itachi for me, he was the outcast of his clan cause he didn't believe in what they did or what they seek ( power ), he became a missing Nin , and he knew he would become one, but did what he had to do for peace. think about it, Naruto and Garra have become what they wanted they had friends who cared for them even if it was a little amount of people.

Not when they are growing up. Gaara's family were afraid of him. I agree Itachi had a rough adulthood but his childhood was good and his adulthood was partly his own choices

Hmm never looked at it that way, but yeah Itachi had some people who loved him and you forgot his GF , but as for Naruto he's no different he had Iruka on his side. so actually it was those two who had a rough "Childhood". I would have to disagree with you, he was the successor of the clan in his fathers eyes only the rest just didn't trust him cause he was an Anbu and worked on secret missions that no one was allowed to know, and what makes it worse is that the Uchihas knew that Konoha was planning for something so by the age of 13 No one other than 5 people loved him. those 5 are

1. His mother.
2. Father.
3. Sasuke.
4. Shisui.
5. His unknown GF

Not so much Sasuke. More Itachi, because he had to do it, and he had to watch his brother start to hate him, whom he cared more for than anyone else.

I thing it's Sasukes. He just went mad cause of it. The most other charakters, in main Naruto, "survived" their past much better. despite Nagato destroyed the Konoha village I thing in the end he was very lucky with Jiraya as Sensei. But after Sasuke he is the second one I'd mention.

Sasuke might have lost everything, but he has friends unlike Naruto. Plus, the girls loved him. Sasuke wanted to be lonely, unlike the others. Sasuke can always rebuild the clan. Losing his family isn't really much to what others had to go through.


I'd say Itachi. He experienced war at a young age. Had to kill his family for the village, but instead of being looked as a hero, he becamed hated. Even his little brother(The one loved most) hated him. Not only that, he had to almost kill his brother.

Kakashi's life is pretty sad too. Having lost everyone loved.(Dad, Mom, Best Friends, Teachers, etc..)

Definitely Itachi. Everything surrounding him is just so messed up I'm surprised he turned out to be good. I cry just a little every time I see his story
