Who's the unluckiest character with the saddest background story?

In your opinion which character got dealt the sh*ttest hand/Unluckiest life/saddest background story in the whole of the Naruto series.

- Was it Naruto who got dealt a life of solitude, who was left an Orphan and hated by his entire village, for no fault of his own?
- Was it Sasuke, who's entire clan was killed just so the rest of his village could have peace?
- What about Itachi, who had to kill his entire family himself whilst accepting a life as an outcast riddled with shame?
- Then we've got Neji, who's father was born mere seconds after Hiashi Hyuga, an occurance which essentially sealed his fate and consequently left Neji fatherless and a servent to the main house.
- Let's not forget Gaara, and how he was hated/feared as a young child, and told his mother didn't love him. Added to the fact his own father wanted to kill him, he had it pretty rough wouldn't you agree?
- Then there's Nagato Uzumaki, who witnessed the murder of his parents and a life full of pain.

There are also other sad stories such as Yukimaru's, Kimimaro's, Sasori's and others.

for me Nagato, parents killed infront of his eyes, whole trauma, never got over it until. but also ofc. Naruto & Gaara​

Then what about Haku? Not only did his dad want to kill him, he actually tried unlike Gaara's dad.

Plus Haku had to kill his own dad after his dad killed his mom.

Though personally I think Itachi's story is more sad because he had to kill his friends, girlfriend, father, and mother. And he had to make the one person he cared about most hate him.

That has to be hard.

I agree with Gaara, same BG as Naruto plus everyone he loved tried to kill him. Although he has got a happier conclusion to his story now

I'd say Itachi, I couldn't even fathom killing any of my family members. I'd go insane with grief

I thing it's Sasukes. He just went mad cause of it. The most other charakters, in main Naruto, "survived" their past much better. despite Nagato destroyed the Konoha village I thing in the end he was very lucky with Jiraya as Sensei. But after Sasuke he is the second one I'd mention.
