that seems like a reasonable fall back plan
madara fought the 1st for the title of hokage so it makes sense that he would want people to think he was dead if he lost
Madara is trying to regain whatever power he lost and Itachi refers to him as 'a pathetic shell of his former self'. He didn't lose on purpose and just got butthurt that he couldn't be Hokage so decided to live solo.
Madara is the strongest. he trained itachi to the level he is and hes been alive for so long he must've mastered tons of skills, but then again itachi said that he was nothing compared to what he used to be so will just have to see madara get in a fight to tell
1st hokage > Madara > Yondiame > Kyuubi > Itachi > Naruto > Pein > Jiraiya > Sasuke > Orochimaru

well if itachi could not defeat "a pathetic shell of his former self " and we all know how powerful he is that could only mean one thing ....hmmm
4th hokage is the strongest. he was going to kill the kyuubi but coulnd'y because madara was hiding using his sharingan then using kyuubi to counter the 4th hokages movements. someone who has ability to attack the kyuubi head on and kil it, means the strongest to me.

he was using gamabunta. he couldnt defeat the kyuubi so he sealed it.... he was definitely not the strongest, maybe the bravest

yes u can especially when the host and the beast work together then genjutsu is rendered useless
the only genjutsu that would work is tsukuyomi and the only person with the knowledge to use it died
madara is the undisputed strongest sasuke is not second he's not even stronger than itachi and how the hell is he gonna beat pein or the fourth this is that sasuke fanbot type stuff if naruto has become stronger than sasuke and he lost to pein (before hinata went all noble) than pein will definetly kill sasuke and the fourth forget it he is the strongest ninja konoha has ever known naruto has only mastered his technique more than him flying thunder god will murder sasuke

well evn though they can.. we hav only seen madara control it.. m sure u need a lot of chakra to do it.. Kyuubi meanin a full strenght kyuubi with its yin and yan chakra intact... sasuke was only able to compress some of the kyuubi's yin chakra sealed inside naruto.. he still needs to show if he can control a fully grown 9 tails kyuubi
plus u really r a sasuke fanboy... ranking him above Itachi.. u sure abt that?

Sasuke mite reach above Itachi's level later in manga.. but at current strength.. hes still behind Itachi.. he wasn't even a match for a sick Itachi.. not to mention Itachi gav him his powers later on... only to protect him.. so he can b considered hero of konoha.. n protect konoha in future.. not so he will carry Uchiha name.. but things obviously didnt turn out tht way
