Whos speed is faster?

Kakashi or sasuke? Both have impressive base speeds, sasukes shunshin can probly keep up with sm naruto while kakashi can move so damn fast his opponents dont even notice hes snuck up behind them.
And then theres the seal performing speed, kakashi clearly takes this, he was able to make the doton seals while tendo pains kick was in mid swing.

We have seen sasuke, on the other hand blitz both deidara and even itachi with his body flicker. However, its one dimensional movement and kakashi has arguably the best reaction speed after the 4th.

Overall, who is faster and why?

I would say kakashi

Sasuke has observed lee's speed who kakashi trains with on the regular so he is use to high speed movement on an even faster level and also knows how to open at least the first gate so what i mean to say is kakashi if not already straight up faster has the potential to be faster in the long run

Hes observed gais speed more as his rival. But when it comes to overcoming relatively larger distances, sasuke seems to be faster while kakashi somehow has the advantage in short range.

Because of his war feats U_U He matches Guy's 7th gate Speed and was on par with Obito. Obito himself has great speed. Furthermore he has his feats all over the series U_U

Yes but its also true that sasuke was able to show solid feats as well. At times he even kept up with the 4 th raikage.
Its a little inconclusive since kakashi was keeping up with bijuus.
