Minato is smarter then them all. In a few minutes of encountering "Madara", he was able to wound him, figure out part of his plan for the future, take the ninetails out of his control, seal part of the ninetails in himself, seal the other part of it in his son because he new his son could use it in the future 16 years ahead, and seal his chakra inside his son to enlighten him about his actions, a true genius U_U

They are both Geniuses, Suspecting if either one was smarter would be completely ignorant and incompetent. Itachi didn't plan anything, and he failed anyway's. Kakashi's just really smart, and has good intellect. And Itachi is basically just a boy Genius who can throw Kunai good. Itachi is a smart ass, and is loyal, Kakashi came up with a technique of his own at the age of 13 that is just as bit as good as Rasengan. So like wtf, who cares.

you maybe right or not.....Itachi's plans fail coz he plans recklessly but recover them in an awesome way...........
