who's lighting jutsu is better sasuke oe kakashi

As it is right now i will have too say Sasuke, although i don't like him. But in the final battle now i think Kakashi will make a new lightning jutsu that is even stronger that Kirin. I don't think Sasuke will make anymore lightning jutsus if he learn a new elemtal jutsu it will probably be Blaze.

Sasuke made up a wide variety of jutsus from Chidori and he can probably use Raikiri.........

sasuke's jutsu seem stronger:
-he uses his chidori, has his chidori nagashi, uses lighting to charge his weapons like shuriken and his sword, and can extend the range of his chidori as if it were a sword
-he also has kirin which seems like the strongest lighting technique yet

however kakashi does seem to have a greater variety of lighting techniques:
-lighting blade
-the lighting animal he used while fighting pain
-lighting clone

so overall i have to say that kakashi has greater variety but sasuke's are stronger and he has greater control over them

who says that kakashi cant do any of the reach stuff reason he uses raikgai whatever is because it takes alot of chakra and he can only use like 4 or 5 shots

Raikiri and Chidori are the same exact technique.

Kakashi's is simply called Raikiri because that is the nickname he acquired from it when he used it to split a bolt of lightning (Raikiri ''Lightning Cutter'').

Narutopedia implies that Raikiri is stronger than Chidori, however they have no source for that. Unless I missed something in the manga, or Narutopedia hides their sources, then as far as I'm concerned, Chidori and Raikiri are the same technique.

When you meant stronger in a sense of raw power, Sasuke already surpass Kakashi. Take a look at Kirin, man, Thats a real power freak of nature, imagine if Sasuke unleash it in front of Shinobi alliances in that open field, it'll wipe out lots of Shinobi.

However, stronger can also means how creative you're using it in a battle situation. I believe this is where Kakashi will thrive upon any battle. Even other elite ninja such as Pain and Raikage were aknowledging this.

Too bad Kishi will 'booked' Sasuke enroute to his epic battle with Naruto, so we'll never know whose the strongest... ;-)

Well Sasuke and Kakashi both have lightning based chakra. Sasuke likes to use a lot of diffrent lightning based jutsu, he even manipulated lightning itself when he had no chakra using his most powerful lightning jutsu kirin, Sasuke says "In essence this jutsu is lightning from the heavens" now lets take a look at Kakashi and his original jutsu chidori. The jutsu is being eplained by Guy during the chuunin exam he says "chidori...or as its also known the lightning edge. A nickname EARNED when Kakashi cut a bolt of lightning with that technique". So I believe even if Sasuke could set up another kirin jutsu Kakashi could cut through it With his lightning edge. Kakashi all the way!

well there are basically 3 lightning jutsu kakashi uses (I'd hardly count raikiri and chidori as 2 seperate ones, since one is just a stronger version of the same move. Personally I don't even agree with the idea of calling them 2 different things, just like rasangan and giant rasangan aren't 2 different things, one's just much more chakra put into it)... but

raikiri, lightning clone, and the lightning dog thing.

and sauske: chidori, full body chidori, chidori needles, spear, the move where it follows along the ground, and kirin.

Honestly I'd give it to sauske simply because kakashi hasn't spent nearly as much time developing his ability to shape and manipulate lightning chakra. Sauske seems to have made it a central theme of his fighting style, as where with kakashi it's only a small part of it-- though raikiri is usually his finishing move. But sauske has developed even stronger lightning jutsu at this point, and seems like at this point he's probably much more proficient with shape manipulation than kakashi.
