well one we dont know if yama is dead yet...so dont say he is until u know for sure.
2, id say either shunsui or ukitake since well unohana has to deal with all the healing so she's busy enough as is, plus ukitake and shunsui trained and were really close with yama jii so id say either shunsui or ukitake.

i highly doubt yamamoto is dead unless kubo has lost it

but ichigo could beat all those guys...hypothetically speaking that is. I mean ichigo trained to plus because he's a vizared he is stronger then shunsui and ukitake. He is probably gonna be the one who beats Aizen so yea he is for most part the strongest and best canidate for the job.

true, true, but then again ichigo's hollow hasnt been tamed for the most part like the visoreds, plus he's not an Offical Soul Reaper, just a substitute one. Plus i think they'd prefer an Actual captain in gotei to be the next cc.

r u serious?the only reason they needed ichigo is cuz is that he hasnt seen kyoka suigetsu(aizen's zampukto) shikai form so he's not affected by the hypnosis thingy so that doesnt make him the strongest.

It won't be Ichigo, unless Kubo messes up badly, since
a) They probably would prefer an actual Captain and, more importantly
b) Ichigo gains much of his hero-ness from being "out of the law." and as CC he will have to keep it up rather than ignoring it.
Won't be Urahara or Isshin, because Urahara's too crazy and Isshin is probably through with being a Shinigami for good.
Not Unohana, because she'll be too busy with the healing. Not Kyoraku, because he's too lazy. Maybe Ukitate or Byakuya.

tbh despite seeing yama's hand crack and the resulting explosion (plus it being named hadou ...sacrificial something or other) i still dont (want to) think hes actually dead.
if he is its uber lame...put it this way:
tousen - the lamest character ever - by mutual consent of the entire of bleach fandom
( JUSTICE!! no! stfu blind boy )
Released his bankai , got to fight several captains including his 'bff' <3 and his own vice captain in a grudge match.
He got shown in the pendulum flashback, got affected by the hogyokou and as such got hollow powers. those powers were shown and owned komamura
He got his own back story explained about how his (girl?)friend got killed and how he wanted revenge

Yammamoto the CC of SS got ...what...his shikai released against Shunshui and Ukitake for a quick glimpse of how uber he is... he then went RAWR! in FKT before rujinjaka got sealed, punched WW a couple of times...then sacrificed himself in a lame kido that barely hurt Aizen
Tite better give the old man some resurrection or something (not the espada release >_> ) or at least some 5 episode flashback... or il ****ing tear him a new one.

I don't think Yama-jii is dead.
On that page Aizen says he abandoned his own body. This could have two meanings.
1.) He decided to sacrifice himself in order to kill Aizen, this he "abandoned" his body and killed himself.
2.) He was able to have his spirit leave his body and then used it as a bomb.
I think it may have been #2. Or at least I hope he is lol.
But if he is dead, I think Unohana would be the best choice. Ukitake is sick and dying so its unlikely they would choose him as the replacement. Shunsui isn't mature enough to be the Captain-Commander, nor do I think he would want the responsibility. He would find the job too troublesome.
Unohana is someone who has the respect of everyone in the SS and she is incredibly strong. She has the highest stats in the stat book aside from Yama-jii and Shunsui is known to be scared of her. She had the right personality for the job as she seems very mature and level headed.
I think she would be the best choice.
