Whitebeard is prolly faster, he appeared behind Akainu in like 1 sec afte Ace died, Whitebeard is fast af even though he was old, imagine him in his prime.

Yeah I was thinking this too. I wouldn't say he 'blitzed' Akainu but he could get behind him.

And I know that in anime size or build of a character isn't an indication of speed or strength, but I mean Whitebeard was old and huge and Luffy is still in his youth and very quick on his feet.

Think of it like this..in my opinion Luffy is Top 10 in blitzing bodily speed and movements but WB might be slow in body movements but his quake punches can reach his opponents faster than Luffy

Yeah when you are 4 times the normal human (luffy) Of course your one step will cover 8 steps of smaller people >_> Also he basically walked the path of least resistance.

Does not indicate he is fast.
Right, being one of the main targets in the middle of a war is the path of least resistance. The Marines are full of speedsters, and WB could keep up with them fine.

Sneaking up on Akainu and clipping him is a good enough speed feat. You see Luffy blitzing Akainu?

Half the marines were shitting their pants in front of him. So yeah basically he did not face as much opposition as luffy.
That (the highlighted part) is no speed feat. He was already close to akainu, that was simple sneaking up on him. (Also most of the ordinary marines noticed him going behind akainu).

And its obvious as **** why luffy does not blitz akainu......he if just too weak.
Also when luffy stood in front of the 3 admirals and used gear 2 to get away he was blocked by kizaru and not Akainu.

Horrible logic.

I'd say Whitebeard is faster. He could actually contend with people with the speed of Admirals.
He could keep up with everyone, yes, but his speed didn't have a play in it - not as much as you think, at least. He just had a great reaction rate, that's all. From what we've seen, he couldn't blitz around like certain others.

WB is without a doubt fast but Luffy is faster than MF WB IMO. WB has faster striking speed and that's why he managed to keep up with Admirals.

whitebeard is faster than luffy. he even stopped one of the fastest characters in one piece (kizaru) in his tracks.

That has nothing to do with his speed, It was his striking speed.

Take Sanji and Zoro for example: Sanji is a lot faster than Zoro. Yet Zoro could keep up with him with no problem. Why? Because, Zoro has faster striking speed than Sanji.

Yes, but is Luffy 60? No, so it doesn't matter how fast Luffy will be when he's 60, but how fast he is now. And he's not faster than WB now.
He didn't say Luffy Is faster now, he maybe meant to but he didn't. He said Luffy at the same age as WB with the same amount of experience as WB is faster than WB. It can never happen so we can't know but he's basically saying WB the day he died compared to 60 year old Luffy would be Luffy>WB or Luffy compared to WB when he was 19.
