madara used him and he wasnt the owner of rinnegan ha was given the eyes so in my opinion he is FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR from SO6P and his rinnegan skills, i like nagato but he inmy opinion wasnt that good even with rinnegan (he still was awesome but not OMG hes unstoppable and the best awesome)

It really depends on how much Itachi knows about Pain. The reason Naruto was able to beat Pain is because he knew everything about him. Jiraya didn't know anything about Pain, that's why he got beat.
Itachi would fight only three of the Pains. Use up most of his Chakra figuring out Pain. Beat them, and get caught off guard by the other Pains.
Now if Itachi knows everything about Pain... well... Itachi would own them.

I agree. I think it depends on the circumstances, such as how much Itachi really knows about Pain's abilities, and how weakened by disease Itachi is (also because his eyesight was pretty bad by then). Either way I think at the very least, Itachi could take out at least half the Paths. I mean the Rinnegan is the most powerful of all the ocular doujutsu, and fighting multiple Paths at once is a challenege even if you know their secrets...but let's face it. Itachi is a freakin' genius, very skilled, very smart, and good with strategies. There's also the fact that he was apparently too stubborn to be killed by anything but his brother's hand.

I think Itachi would win because of the fact that he has worked under him and he knows him. So he knows to go to the source which is Nagato who is actually pretty weak without his puppets. (not dissing Pain i still think he is a cool character)

Well how do you know if Itachi didn't figure out where Nagato was located. I think Itachi is sneaky enough to find the answers to were he hides.

Pein can't get through Itachi's well armed Susanoo.
Itachi's susanoo would just seal every body of pein up.

No they don't, when fighting jiraiya, jiraiya use a "sound genjutsu" so that three of them got in genjutsu from hear it, while itachi is using his vision and we don't know how rinnegan would react, maybe it can repel it....

Itachi doesn't always use his eyes to cast a genjutsu. Keep that in mind he's a Gengutsu beast. he can cast with one finger and i'm pretty sure he can cast with sound.

Itachi, Itachi has Susano'o and the mengekeyo sharigan (I dont know how to spell mengekeyo) anyway. Itachi can trap Pein in his Gengustu and its over.

Pain! naruto almost didn't beat pain in sm if it wasn't for hinata naruto would of been dead. so yea itachi wouldn't stand a chance against pain
