Who would have preferred if Hinata died in place of Neji?

Do you agree?

If Neji's death made him question himself, Hinata's death would destroy his view of reality completely. Now, regardless if you ship them or not, you must accept that they have a lot of influence on each other. Hinata was someone who applies Naruto's ideals. In fact, she's the one who does it the most by far. What in the world do you think it'd do to Naruto emotionally if Hinata was killed in order to save him again?

In fact, the answer to your question would be it's a good thing Hinata didn't die because it'd be just repeating something that's already happened. Pain arc remember?

No. I'm sick of people implying this when they don't seem to realize that this was the end of Neji's character; his character in Part 1 was centered around him accepting his fate ending with him dying for a member of the Main House. He thought he had no choice in the matter. His death signified him realizing that he actually did have a choice, and he chose to die for the person that he believed in.

My dislike for her aside, I think so. Minato and Kushina died the same way, all because of Obito. For a sense of balance it should have been two people dying to really make that scene hit.
