[Discussion] Who will take down BlackBeard ?

I just dont see how Luffy stands a chance against the yami yami no mi. It doesn't matter what gear luffy is in, as soon as he comes in contact with BB his power would be cut by over half. But since Shanks doesn't have a DF he basically just has to contend with BB's gura gura no mi.

Well, I know this seems a little cliche, but it'll be Luffy. Because that's how Shonen Mangas are. He'll probabl get one more gear, and then that will be over the top and it'll be over. And Luffy will be King of the Pirates and hate his life.

Last time Blackbeard left Shanks with a scar without the use of devil fruit powers. At this point I don't think Shanks would do well against BB especially when they said that BB collected more now.

Yes, because Shanks' strength grew some how so much to surpass the power of the strongest paramythia fruit in the world (gura gura) with the additional strongest logia fruit in the world (yami yami) with an already powerful person such as BB himself. :|

Shanks got his scar some time after roger died I would bet any amount of money it wasn't after he became a yonko and nobody knows how strong shanks was at the time when him and Blackbeard first clashed or what the outcome of that clash was giving shanks a scar doesn't mean he was stronger then shanks at that point

How abou Shanks being Shanks means nothing when BB gave him that scar without a devil fruit :|

How about the fact that BB destroyed Marco and the rest of the wb pirates and thrashed Dragon's hideout with Dragon in it. :|

Shanks is strong but Oda portrayed BB to be stronger. And according to your logic, because Shanks also grows in strength means that Luffy will never be stronger than Shanks :|

1. we have no idea wha tpowers shanks has and we have no idea how broken conq haki is and most importantly, we dont know how haki compares to devil fruits
2. we don't know which paramecia is the strongest, yes gura gura looks broken ag but there are arguments to be made for others, like Law's or Fuji's
3. same for the yami yami, it's unique obviously, but there are other broken logias out there, pica pica, hie hie, magu magu, goro goro ... a wind one could be broken af as well

2. I'm going by what Sengoku said, other than that I have my own preference on what devil fruit is the strongest paramythia.
3. Again, going by what Teach said. He said it was the strongest logia and that he searched his whole life for that sole fruit. His purpose was to find the strongest logia and paramythia fruit and according to Oda via Teach they are the strongest.

These are not my words or opinions, I feel like Shanks is the most powerful for biased reasons personally but I have to follow what's objective.

that's not an argument against haki, we have no idea what haki is capable of, clearly Oda is still developing it, we have no idea what the strongest Haki users will be capable of

some random colosseum fighters beating some random haki users doesn't tell use anything at all, why hould u even assume it would? most were fodder and clearly only the characters in higher tiers have haki strong enough because in the world of OP it's more exclusive than DFs, and none of the higher tier characters have demonstrated just how powerful world class haki can make u

and the scar argument ... why would an injury inflicted to Shanks before Romance Dawn be of any relevance? I can use the same logic and say Crocodile, Moria, Lucci, a pacifista ... will obviously be on the level of the future pirate king because they beat Luffy

Im aware of that but im saying how would it nullify his df ability. BB doesn't have a logia body to begin with.
