Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead with Cavendish's judgement that he needed Barto to survive, unless you want to tell me that you know Cavendish better than Cavendish.

You do realize taking fatal damage means you die, right? Gladius has superior speed and strength compared to base Cavendish

Did you miss the pic I showed you earlier of Cavendish begging for Barto to let him in the barrier in order to avoid Punc Rock Fest? We are talking about Cavendish, not Hakuba. So no, Cavendish does not have better feats than Gladius.

Yeah, I saw it. Well, have you placed a restriction on Hakuba for the battle? I don't think so. Yes, even Cavendish without using Hakuba showed better feats. but it could go either way if you did restrict Hakuba. I can still see Cavendish winning though at high-extreme diff.

What are these non-existent Cavendish feats you are talking about? Hakuba is restricted in this discussion because he can't use Hakuba against Trebol without also attacking everyone else in the palace.

Fatal damage means that the damage will kill you. You forgot to post the panel of Cavendish's sword bending in the next page, not to mention that Chinjao wasn't even using Koka.

His sword didn't break because he backed up. If he didn't, the sword would have broken.

Zoro said he'd die if he fell in the town in previous chapters despite having survived a greater fall back in skypiea with close to no injuries, despite the fact someone weighting thousand tones survived a greater fall(from the bird cage) in the same arc. Bartolomeo said they'd die if they were hit by the punk rock fest, yet he survived Gladius' strongest attack. Those statements are just used to minimize risks. It doesn't mean however that it would actually happen when it comes down to it

I think at this point it's safe to say that Sabo is on his way to meet up with Luffy. Once he does, he will take care of Trebol for Luffy and let Luffy do his thing with DD.

Although, I do love the idea of Luffy just 1-shot KO'ing Trebol like he wasn't even concerned with him. Like, Luffy walks towards DD, trebol tries to get his attention/get in his way, and Luffy just keeps on walking and doesn't even divert his attention from DD to hit Trebol with a knock out punch.

Anytime I see 2 fighters squaring off in OP..the 1st thing I ask myself if "who can lose hype in this fight" and Trebol is the prime candidate

Agreed, Oda made it so obvious. Luffys mad, what's the first thing he's going to do to the first guy who gets in his way? He will hit him with something insane that's what. And that's exactly what Trebol will do, start talking sh!t and gets owned for it.
