I did and tbh it wasn't that great. the story was Supposed to be about a zombie apocalypse but it was more about fanservice than zombies imo I heard that the manga is better but even though I think is not that great i would still follow the series if they release new episodes xd

The plot was simple. Just because it isn't deep doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

HOTD had a thin plot but the action balanced the scale.

You're criticizing it poorly.

HOTD is a zombie survival manga/anime. It is what it is. This genre is known for it's action. What "plot" are you blaming it for not having? Survival is the plot.
