Worst Akatsuki member would have to be Kakuzu. He's not badass, funny, or interesting at all imo. Idk why he's so popular there's nothing great about him although he is pretty powerful I guess..

I don't think it was necessarily a bad matchup. Sasori just had a lot of potential that he never showed (how about those other 300 human puppets?) and it's really unfortunate that he got defeated by a granny who was inferior to him in puppet mastery as well as freaking Sakura - who didn't even use Byakogou or Katsuyu. He got trolled even worse in the war arc.

He's not a bad character though, his backstory was really sad and interesting. Most people are just saying Sasori because we haven't seen much of him. Also that fight went on for WAY too long - twice we thought he was killed and he really wasn't.

OT: Best is Kisame. Worst is probably Hidan (his curse mark could be hella OP though if used in the right situation, with other characters backing him up as support.)

Chiyo was a legendary puppet master who was even more well known for medical prowess. And Sakura found a cure for Sasori's poison. And Chiyo knew almost everything about Sasori.
Counter to Sasori's fighting style.
Counter to Sasori's poison.
And a lot of intel.

And his other 300 puppets, none were as special as Hiruko, the Kazekage or himself. They were used for the sole purpose of the Secret Red Technique.

Against any normal opponent, one scratch and Sasori wins.

Not really. Sakura only had 3 antidotes each lasting 3 minutes. Sasori easily could have stalled them. Sasori has no problem with puppet masters as seen when he wrecked Kankuro (plus he had intel on the Mother and Father puppets Chiyo used.) Sakura and Chiyo won that due to plot and you know it. Sasori could have mid diff'd them with Hiruko but he was outsmarted multiple times.

Not to mention Chiyo had no intel on Sasori's puppet body, Sasori's 100 puppets, and his human puppets.

Itachi is the worst in a way because he was a traitor, konan is just there, WZ too

Kakuzu wasn't badass? Do you see Kakuzu's character design? Probably the most badass character design in the show. Not only that he is one of the only real villains in the show. He doesn't give a **** about you, to him you are just a price tag.

Also the worst was Konan for she was the most empty character in the akatsuki. She didn't have a brain or heart of her own basically an extension of Nagato.

It was Sasori's fault, but it was also plot.

-Sasori just happened to make his 3rd Kazekage puppet attack Sakura up front instead of finishing her with iron sand
-Sakura just happened to dodge Iron Sand World Method or whatever it's called
-Sakura blew away a poison cloud with a paper bomb and took no damage. Really Kishi?
-Sakura landed an attack on the last second before the antidote wore off
-100 puppets got overpowered by 10 puppets
-He didn't use any other human puppets besides 3rd Kazekage
-He didn't dodge their last attack when he could have

I don't see why people think Sasori was the worst, he was really cool, and he makes a great puppet as well for Kankuro.
The true worst Akatsuki members were Sasori's underlings and all of the other Jobbers, like Kakazu's Bankers and associates.
