I think the 4th hokage was the strongest out of all the hokages. It appears as thugh he died young also, so that sums it up.

i cant really say because i never saw any hokage at their prime fight to there full potenial and for the youngest i believe it was the 3rd cause i remember the 1st and 2nd told him in episode 73 "from tomorrow u will be the next hokage"

By tomorrow did they mean like the future in general? Or literally the day after.

He could only control the Kyuubi if it appeared in front of him, and he couldn't order it to fight at his will. They say in the manga that they were like his pets because with that technique he could control their power and make decrease, he could tame them to stop.

Shodaime never was the master of the Kyuubi. NEVER. The kyuubi didn't obey him, and didn't fight with him.

The only man who can do such a thing, summon and fight using the Kyuubi as a weapon is Uchiha Madara.

The first didn't control the Kyuubi to fight, he could only stop its power just like Yamato did in Naruto's training.

Shodaime could not use kyuubi in a fight. That is a lie.
